 "Not for people having sleeping problems."
Hotel was definitely very good, but the noise of electric curtains woke us up every time, when any of our neighbors used the system during our sleep. The noise from neighboring rooms was exactly at the same level as our own curtains made and somewhat loud from neihgbors' neighborgin rooms.

 "Poor location, hard bed, too much traffic noise"
Nice looking hotel but quite a way out from the centre. Like the style of the bathroom but both of us walked straight in to the clear glass door!!! Blinds on the windows make lots of noise and said windows are single glazed so lots of traffic noise and sirens disturbed our sleep.Some of the reception staff were very helpful, others were not. Next time we travel to this wonderful city, we'll be staying somewhere else.

Nice hotel but lacked tea and coffee facilities in the room. The rooms electronic blind system was very noisy and impractical you can hear everyone else operating them too. Walls are very thin too! Staff were welcoming and helpfull. Very disappointed with the amount of graffitti in and around Barcelona and there is a building site right next door which is very noisy first thing in the morning. Easy access to the metro. Easy to get around.

 "Nice hotel but not great"
This hotel looks cool. great design. Nice location , close to public transport and mall. Used it for a conference in the University. Rooms are nice design, enough space, good facilities., and clean. However: at arrival the airconditioning didn't work, I called and it got fixed. Then the hot water didn't work, called, got fixed. Then the access card quit working, twice. Got fixed. The little vault in the room had an empty battery, didn't get fixed. The service is moderate. they will help you, but a friendly smile is too much.The bar on the roof looks great but is only open from 1600 untill 1800. At 1745 I couldnt get a drink anymore. Very unfriendly bartender.Breakfast is nice, but costs 18 euro, way too expensive. The starbucks around the corner does it for 3 euro.All in all, the hotel is nice, the service can by much improved.

I found the hotel a modern and extremely friendly establishment.Our room was spacious and quiet , however we did have part of the mid room partition falling off.I was also slightly upset that I had requested a cot for my daughter when booking the hotel, only to find upon arrival that that information had not been passed onto the Silken Diagonal from easytobook, luckily there was a spare cot and this issue was swiftly rectified.All in all the hotel is a perfect place to stay for a short break...

Hotel was gorgeous - first day in Barcelona for both of us and hotel was ideal! Location couldn't be better & the service in the hotel is 2nd to none!Would definitely stay again and will be returning to Barcelona at some point!

Pros: From our arrival to our departue all members of the staff were very courteous and helpful.we were treated as more than friends or customers,we were treated as family.we were impressed by the excellent service,especially from pablo,sandra,and luciano from the "front desk staff" and from doña antonia,our "room attendant".if we were to return to barcelona we would more than likely return to the silken diagonal.

Pros: The staff were very helpful. the hotel was very clean and quiet. rooftop bar was very relaxed. good location and outstanding value for money.
Cons: Only small downside was the absence of a gym. if the hotel had one i would have used it. however, this is only a very minor downside.

Really good hotel! Amazing value for money, 3 mins from metro!

Situated on the city’s largest street, Diagonal Avenue, Hotel Silken Diagonal Barcelona is found next to Plaza de las Glorias and opposite the Agbar tower, which was designed by French architect Jean Nouvel. The Sagrada Familia Cathedral, Bogatell Beach and the Monumental bullring are located within 10 minutes walking distance. A commercial centre can be found at less than 5 minutes from the hotel and various bus and metro stations nearby provide you with convenient transport links to other parts of the city.

Housed in a 9-storey building served by an elevator, Silken Diagonal Hotel opened in 2004 and offers a fabulous rooftop outdoor swimming pool, meeting rooms, garage and outdoor solarium. The 5 meeting rooms measure 427 m² in total and are equipped with the latest technologies. The fully air-conditioned establishment furthermore offers a business centre, a bar and a restaurant.

Hotel Silken Diagonal Barcelona offers both smoking and non-smoking rooms, as well as rooms specially designed for disabled guests.  Modernly designed, the spacious rooms are fitted with wooden furniture, contrasting colours and stylized lines making for an elegant and restful setting.
