"Great location, great service"

We went to New York to see the sites. Hotel was very close to subway so we didn't have to cab it all the time. Very quiet at night despite proximity to Times Square. Continental breakfast more than adequate. Evening complimentary wine & cheese much appreciated. Turn down service at night where soft music played and air conditioning turned on was a nice touch. Staff was very attentive and helpful. We had two days of rain and there were umbrellas for patron use by the door. We would stay here again without hesitation.

"An experience which we would like to repeat."

It took us a long time to decide what hotel we wanted to stay in, in New York however the Casablanca turned out to be the right choice. We were staying for 6 nights and from the minute we arrived to our departure the whole package was excellent. All the staff were courteous and helpful at all times. Being just off Times Sq it was easy to have a day sight seeing and then come back late afternoon to relax before going back out at night to a theatre show or restaurant or bar. The reception desk was only to happy to recommend and book a restaurant for the Saturday we were there at Benjamins which also turned out to be a meal to remember. You do pay a premium for hotels in the centre of the city however when you consider the fact that the package is inclusive of 24 hour coffee and snacks , continental breakfast and wine, cheese and snacks between 5.00pm and 8.00pm each night it turns out to be good value for money. This set up also gives you the opportunity to meet other travellers in a relaxed atmosphere.

"Very nice staying"

Excellent position, very good service and cleanliness. Rooms are comfortable, very nice personnel at the reception. Wi-fi available.Nice Breakfast and very nice Happy Hour from 5.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m.

"Would stay again"

We booked this hotel back in February on a promotional deal and only discovered that it was rated the #1 hotel in NYC just before we departed. Overall this was a brilliant hotel and we would consider staying again.Positives include:* Free wifi throughout hotel* Free wine and cheese each evening* Proximity to major sites (e.g. Times Square, Empire State Building, Central Park)* Rooms insulated from street noiseThings to be aware of include:* Air-conditioners are noisy - we left ours off during the night & relied on just the ceiling fan. Given it was August this meant that the room did get quite warm, but it was bearable* No gym facilities on site - the hotel offers free gym passes to a nearby club. We didn't end up using it as it was just slightly too inconvienent* Breakfast does not vary - limited, but good continental selection, but if you were staying for a week this might get a bit boring. No hot options.

"Overall - great"

Casablanca is a very nice hotel and one that you can look forward to returning to at the end of the day. Location is perfect and staff helpful and for the main part outgoing and friendly. Style of decor is Morroccan which although not to my taste is pleasant enough. Rooms very clean and the permanent free coffee and nibbles was a nice touch. The only downside was the very noisy air conditioning unit plus the perpetual bell ringing from the adjacent car park, although to be fair this subsided over night. Overall we had a really nice stay and would use the hotel again.

"Lovely homely and clean hotel with excellent location"

Stayed here with my wife, we loved the location of the hotel, Times Suare is just outside the door.Yet despite this is, it is a very homely and quiet hotel. It is very clean and well looked after.The breakfast was excellent and my wife who needs gluten free food was able to get gluten free bread.We loved the wine and cheese available in the evening too which really was fantastic.I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone considering a trip to New York.

"The location of the hotel is brilliant"

Pros: The location of the hotel is brilliant. although extremely close to times square, the hotel is quiet, peaceful and relaxing. at any time of the day or night, guests have access to the rick'c cafe area, which is comfortable, and has constant supplies of refreshments, and good internet access.there is even a courtyard for those wanting fresh air whilst in the hotel. free wine is also served in the early evening. the staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly. i would recommend to any age group.
