The hotel is clean and have all the amenities you need. The staff is very kind and helpful and the location is great. It i a good value according too the price and what you get. I strongly recommend it.

 "My reunion trip"
The hotel is well located with easy access to the 1 (red), B (orange) and C (blue) lines, i.e. easy to go to up-, mid- and downtown as well as to and from JFK. The rooms are relatively small and the overall hygiene could be improved upon, the bathroom in the hallway is somewhat inconvenient and the internet is generally weak and tends to drop at peak hours. The front desk and doorman personnel are very nice and friendly.

 "Overpriced And Terrible Service"
I will never stay here again. The room was tiny and the mattress was unbearable. For $230/night I could have stayed in a much nicer hotel. Unfortunately I chose this hotel based on location and didn't read any of the reviews. Don't get me started on the bathroom: it took 15min to get hot water and the toilet wouldn't flush completely. The bathroom was so small that I could hardly turn around. I know small rooms are normal in New York, but this was absurd.

The room was very very small. The noise from the ongoing air conditions from other rooms probably, as mine was switched off (built into windows - as can be found in old houses) was quite loud. You could not really close the window. The bathroom was clean, but tiny and the water was not really warm. You had to wait long until you got luke warm water in the shower. On two days I had to wash my hair in the sink because the water in the shower was cold.The high speed internet access was also not given. In the room the wifi signal was very weak. I know that the prices for hotel rooms are very high in NYC, but for USD 764 for 3 nights, I would expect more.

the staff is friendly and willing to help. location is good, closeby central park and subway.the rooms are small and the bathroom is worse. it was dark, small and it was hardly working. ofcourse hotel rooms are always small in new york, but this was a lot of money for what it worth

Very helpful staff! Nice and clean! Nice location near Central Park. I think you should have free coffee not just a few hours but 24/7. It was very good that you had free maps and other guides.

 "9 Days in New York"
I found the location of Park79 ideal for me.It was in a quieter area than Midtown and there were many nice Eating Places close by. Also Central Park. The staff were friendly and the room was fine [small] but had everything in it including free Wi-Fi which worked fine. There were a number of rooms sharing the bathroom but apart from a couple of times they were vacant when I needed them. Having a basin in the room made all the difference The bathroom was spotlessly clean a credit to the staff, and follow guests. I would stay at the Park79 again.

Pros: This was the perfect location to come back to after finishing the new york city marathon. the staff had water out before the race for runners and was more than willing to assist with getting ice or arranging cars.

Pros: Location
Cons: During my stay i was eaten alive during the night and i was later to find out that it was bedbugs. when bringing this problem to the attention of the staff, rather than them trying to sort it i was actually threatened to be physically removed from the premises for causing a scene.

Pros: Location was perfect. not too far from downtown, nice restaurants around the area. quiet cosy hotel, perfect for a short stay in nyc.
Cons: We were a bit early at the hotel on our check-in day and the staff member told us to come back at 3pm in a way that made me feel a bit unwanted. maybe she was tired but she could have made the effort to get us the room earlier. i travel around the world a lot and that's how it usually goes... but this was the only bad thing about the stay. otherwise recommended!
