Best Western Albert Premier Paris  

Quick and easy jaunt to Albert 1er from Gare du Nord--just look down the street and you'll see the sign. Pleasant welcome from desk staff & quick check in. Room was small but we didn't care--it's Paris! Bathroom clean and modern--well appointed. One person at a time-also ok--It's Paris! Then--the staff came through for us big time. A friend's housing plan was in jeopardy--they came up with a last minute room for her and her 2 kids. At a good rate, too! Then my husband's wallet was stolen at the Eiffel Tower.(Hey--it's any urban environment!) Our faithful front desk staff helped me figure out how to word our request for the police report in French, gave us directions to the police station, and did everything she could to help us take care of business.Now that's going above and beyond duty. OK, so it was a bit noisy outside at night--a light sleeper might have an issue with that, but it wastn't a problem for us. We loved the accessibility via bus and Metro plus knowing that we wouldn't have to deal with traffic to catch the Eurostar back to London. Any time we needed something, the staff was ready to respond. Don't worry if you don't speak much French, they have the language skills to assist you (and the tolerance to respond to your French-as-a-second-language if you want to use it). We'd go back again in a heartbeat.

Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Noisy during the night especially saturday night.

Pros: Near to gare du nord and good bed, breakfast and cleaning
Cons: A bit noisy but that is to be expected if you are close to a station.

Pros: Central location and small but clean rooms
Cons: It is very noisy outside that will keep you awake
