Neues Rathaus

The New Town Hall in Prostĕjov, Northern Moravia, stands in the main square across from the Old Town Hall. It came into existence as a means of the town claiming its own identity. Between 1911 and 1914, this asymmetrical building, the result of failing to purchase all the land necessary, developed according to the architectural design of Karlo Hugo Kepka. Its tower rises above the town square. Its clocks tell time both numerically and astronomically. They sit below the copper dome with the astronomical clock ticking near the bow window.
