Kirche Unsere liebe Frau vom Schnee

Construction began for the Church of Our Lady of Snows in the 14th century at the end of Wenceslas Square. In 1397, it had grown upwards but not outwards. It stood at 33 meters or 110 feet. Inside, the nave reflects the focus on height. It is the tallest altar for a structure of its size. In fact, the nave is higher than that you will see in St. Vitus Cathedral. The altar is undoubtedly the city of Prague’s largest. It rises in three tiers featuring statues of the Saints and a crucifix.
