Jindřišská - Turm

The tower dates from the 1670s. Originally, a Renaissance structure, it became part of the renovation phases of the 19th century. It is now Neo-Gothic. It is also a tower within a tower, adjusted recently to fit a new purpose. Inside, the tower possesses an unusual feature. A set of 10 carillon bells goes off every hour. Yet, a unique aspect – you can only hear these bells ring within the tower. You will have to go to the 10th floor. Take the elevator or climb the stairs. Another feature of the Jindřišská Tower is a museum. If you wander up to the 6th floor, you can stop at the Museum of Prague Towers. It will describe and show you in photographs all of Prague’s 120 towers.
