 "Edinburgh"
The first night there was an overbooking so we were offered a smaller room. This room had a seperate bathroom outside our room but was still private. This was arranged ahead of time and we were given a lesser rate for the inconvience. The Scottish breakfast was very good. Wi-fi worked fine and the staff was very friendly. We had a later departure and the hotel stored our luggage for us. Overall, a very good stay for the money.

 "Pleasant surroundings"
I enjoyed my stay at the Alisa Craig. Although it was a longer walk from the Waverly Train Station than I anticipated, it was still a great location. My room was very clean and comfortable and had a lovely garden view. After all the walking to explore exciting Edinburgh it was wonderful to relax in my cosy room. Breakfast was delicious. I would be very happy to stay there again.

Pros: Good location on a lovely street close to all the action. the staff were so friendly and went above and beyond to help where needed. a special shout out to christine who helped my husband find his passport that he had left on the flight to edinburgh, she was amazing. nothing was too much hassle for the staff from getting us a whole plate of hash browns for breakfast when we were a little hung over from hogmanay to giving us an endless supply of towels. we ended up having 6 people stay in our large room when we had initially booked only 4 but the staff were so accommodating and it wasn't a problem at all. they even supplied us with hot soup and a free drink after we got back from pur new years celebrations in the wee hours of the morning. we will most definitely stay there again when next in edinburgh!

Located right in the center of Edinburgh is the Ailsa Craig Hotel, a wonderful place to stay in Scotland.
