The hotel is located in The Pijp, and is next to many great attractions, the former Danish Consulate in Amsterdam is up the street, and the hotel is across from "Sarphati Park", one of the most acclaimed parks in the city. Across the park is the Albert Cap market which sells everything from furniture, to Dutch food delicacies, to clothing, and more. Not far, guests can find themselves at the Heineken Brewery where they can experience the brewing process as well as enjoy a complimentary gift, and drinks. Should a museum, be of interest, it will only be a 10 minute walk or 5 minutes tram to the Rijksmuseum or the Van Gogh museum. There are trams stops situated right next to the hotel, which takes the guests right into the heart of the city.

The 3 stars Aalborg Hotel Amsterdam has just been renovated and is located in the middle of Amsterdam in the area called The Pijp, so called because the narrow streets resembled pipes and is an alternative, multi-cultural neighborhood. It is only minutes away from the famous Amsterdam museums, stylish shopping, fine dining, and Amsterdam nightlife. The Aalborg Hotel Amsterdam has 36 rooms; all renovated last year, combine a vintage fashion with a modern look and has a comforting appeal which will relax the tensest of travelers: 7 single rooms, 15 double bedded rooms, and 14 twin, triple and quadruple rooms. Breakfast buffet, VAT, and tourists taxes are all included in the price. We offer breakfast in the Aalborg Bar from 7.00 a.m. until 10.00 a.m. It includes several sorts of bread, pastries, jam, cheese, cold cuts, eggs, fruit juices, salads, cereals, coffee, tea, milk, chocolate, and more. How can a guest reach the hotel by public transport from the airport?1) From SCHIPHOL AIRPORT: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the Airport to Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the Central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2)
2) From CENTRAL STATION: You can take tram: 4 and 25 from the square in front of the station to the van woustraat or tweede van der helststraat. From there you can walk to the hotel +/- 2/5 min. the trams in Amsterdam are running normaly from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM

The hotel was very nice, clean and the staff were friendly. it's located in the pijp which is cool if you have been to amsterdam before and are looking for a bit more of an 'authentic' experience (but don't worry, you're still not that far away from the centre). Mr Paul Hill

My room was a good size 
The staff requested that i pay on arrival and added 4% for paying by card. the first room that i was given smelled strongly of smoke so i requested a move. all rooms appear to be smoking rooms and are sprayed with a pungent air freshener daily by the cleaning staff. the front desk staff were generally unfriendly and unhelpful - very noticeable compared to a hotel i stayed in for the previous three nights.
