A charming Art Nouveau hotel, in a tranquil location right next to the extensive Vondel park, where you can stroll, jog or just relax.
Hampshire Hotel Atlas is bordering on the up and coming Cornelis Schuytkwartier, with the trendiest shops, the most charming boutiques and the prettiest cafés of Amsterdam. If you didn’t know it already go and have a look!
The Hampshire Hotel Atlas is also located close to all cultural institutions that gives Amsterdam her enormous appeal: the Concert Hall, the National Museum (Rembrandt), the Van Gogh Museum and the Municipal Museum (modern art). Furthermore you are within walking distance of the Leidseplein with its vast night life.

Hampshire Hotel Atlas is ideally located, only a few minutes away from the Van Gogh Museum, Rijkmuseum (Rembrandt), Stedelijk Museum (Modern Art), the Vondelpark and the famous Concert Hall.
The hotel is situated in a beautiful and quiet area alongside the 'Vondelpark' with good connections to the inner city and walking distance from one of Amsterdam's famous squares "Leidseplein" where you can enjoy the Amsterdam night life.
How to reach the hotel?1) From SCHIPHOL AIRPORT: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the Airport to Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the Central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2)
2) From CENTRAL STATION: You can take tram: 2 from the square in front of the station to the Jacob obrechtstraat/willemspar. From there you can walk to the hotel +/- 2 min. the trams in Amsterdam are running normaly from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM

Good location, right next to the vondelpark, which is amazing. its a 10 min tram journey from centraal station, which costs €1.60. good walking distance from some nice, but expensive, restaurants.
The room was a little on the small side, and was quite noisy on the first night, although this did improve on the following nights. we were on the garden floor though, so its the cellar sort of location, the rooms on other floors might be bigger though.Ward

The walls are really thin and you can hear everything going on in the rooms next door. the location isn't too far from the city center, but is definitely not centrally located. the hotel is in the museum district near the van gough museum.Anonymous

The staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was left spotless each day and the bed was huge and very comfortable. also the location is great, so lovely to walk through the park each day to reach town.It was a little pricey, but then again amsterdam is quite an expensive city.Anonymous

The reception staff were absolutely fantastic - nothing was too much trouble. the gentleman who was on duty when i arrived in the early evening on wednesday 14th may went completely out of his way to help me with directions, ordering dinner, finding an iron etc. these are all little things that made a difference to my stay in the hotel but that went above and beyond what was expected. the staff at this hotel are a great asset and i would recommend this hotel to friends based on my experience here.The standard map i was given for finding the hotel was not very clear when it came to the area surrounding the hotel.Anonymous

It was the smallest room with no dresser for the amount of money. very disappointing in this respect and i might not have stayed there had i known this. also, no ac, heaps of bugs and the space was ridiculously small even by european standards.Anonymous
