Located on the historic Herengracht Canal, in the heart of Amsterdam, Banks Mansion draws on the surrounding heritage of art, design, and culture. Intended to blend with its unique surroundings, our Amsterdam Hotel is designed in the style of the Amsterdam School, Berlage, as well as the style of Frank Lloyd Wright. Many of the 51 rooms at Banks Mansion look out over the magnificent canal. We also include a broad range of modern accessories including air conditioning, 50 minutes complimentary wireless Internet, DVD and stereo. How to reach the hotel?1) From SCHIPHOL AIRPORT: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the Airport to Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the Central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2)
2) From CENTRAL STATION: You can take tram: 24 and 25 from the square in front of the station to the Keizersgracht/vijzelsgracht. From there you can walk to the hotel +/- 2 min. the trams in Amsterdam are running normaly from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM

The hotel was absolutely wonderful and the staff faultless! we did call up the night before following reading other reviews and requested and canal view room, with a bathroom and earlier check it time as we had an early arrival.
when we arrived, the staff were extremely courteous and provided the canal view room with an early check in but as there were no rooms available with baths, they moved us to a new room the following day - and yes it was worth it!
with nothing to pay for drinks or breakfast or internet access this new approach to hotel is sure to be welcomed and enjoyed by many.Anonymous

An excellent feel during our stay, everything you could reasonably want was included in the price with no hidden extras, the staff were striving to please on every level, and the room sound proofing was outstanding leading to a feeling of being completely alone in the hotel.It was unfortunate that in our particular room (201) deluxe double with canal view, the windows were not able to be opened fully due to poor design. so romantic views of the canal had to be enjoyed one person at a time.Anonymous
