Description
Hotel Di-Ann is a fascinating historic canal house, completely renovated in 2003, that offers a view along the charming canals of Herengracht and Keizersgracht. The hotel is centrally located in historic surroundings next to the Royal Palace, Wester Church and the Jordaan.
It is the perfect place to start discovering this amazing city. The 24-hour reception is at your disposal for all information you may need about the city and the hotel staff will provide assistance and explanations about the main tourist attractions in town.
The hotel has 42 rooms in this beautiful historical building build in the seventeen hundreds. Furthermore there are 3 floors with various rooms to choose from. On the second floor we have deluxe rooms equipped with a balcony, or with canal view. There are rooms on the front side of the hotel and on the back where there is a garden view.

The Di Ann Hotel is located in historic surroundings between the Royal Palace and Dam Square. The hotel provides an excellent base for exploring the city of Amsterdam with many attractions nearby such as the Anne Frank Museum.
The hotel is situated in historical centre of Amsterdam, next to the Royal Palace, the Westerchurch and the Jordaan district with its picturesque market, shops, restaurants, art galleries. Museums, shopping areas, the flower market (around the corner) and the famous canals are within walking distance from the hotel. A few steps from the propery you can find an arcade with traditional Amsterdam shops and restaurants.
How to reach the hotel?1) From SCHIPHOL AIRPORT: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the Airport to Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the Central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2)
2) From CENTRAL STATION: You can take tram:1, 2, 5 ,13 and 17 from the square in front of the station to the dam/raadhuisstraat. From there you can walk to the hotel +/- 3 min. the trams in Amsterdam are running normaly from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM

The location was excellent. we didnt need to use any public transport to get to any attractions. The only slightly negative was that the room was quite small and the breakfast room was cramped, but then we didnt spend a lot of time there.Anonymous

Staff were very friendly as soon as i arrived, they offered to help to take our luggage up those steep staircase! the room was quite clean, we had a good view of the street and shops, it was a bit small, but we didn’t stay in our rooms for long so that didn’t bother us too much. breakfast will very simple and minimal, but that’s expected with the price we paid. we just popped out walked down several doors and has omelet at the pancake shop and of course had fresh pancakes which was absolutely amazing!!! this hotel is ideal for small groups and singletons who plan to go on a cheap trip and just needs a place to crash. even those who were with us and stayed in another hotel few doors down did preferred our hotel compared to theirs, i would definitely stayed here again.Anonymous

Close to dam square so most places easily/quickly accessible. breakfast was adequate as were the facilities; they were what i expected for the price i paid.If you don't like steep, narrow tread staircases then you might want to look elsewhere, but then many of the older properties in amsterdam are going to have similarly steep stairs.Jason Hewitt

Staff were friendly and helpful. hotel in good location.Room was very small and cramped, had to walk sidewards to get in! cigarette burns in sheets and covers. poor quality breakfast, toaster only worked one side.we had to clear table to sit down and no room too many guests for size of breakfast room. constantly ran out of bread, milk, cutlery, yoghurts under warm lamp! we had a deluxe room which was very poor. the steps from the entrance to the reception were unbeleivable! would not recommend to anyone.Anonymous

Very friendly staff. nice room. good location.Breakfast was a bit of a let-down. only bread, hard boiled eggs (neither of which i like)or cheese. also, we were charged for our tea making facilities which we didn't expect as it said on the web-site that tea and coffee making facilities were available on request!!
