The location was fantastic. it was yards from rembrandtplein but not facing onto the square itself and so not noisy. it backed onto the river amstel and so had great views. we were upgraded to a slightly superior room which had a very stylish bathroom and modern feel to the room.
We had no view from the window, whihc was partly blocked by a airconditioning system of some sort.Anonymous

Rooms was very clean and new and location in relation to the centre of amsterdam was positive.The prices were fairly high - this would reflect the quality but for one detail. our room was right above a nightclub in an ally next to the hotel. the soundproofing was poor and as a result we got very little sleep. this is not what i would expect from a hotel that is supposedly 5 star and certainly charges 5 star prices.Anonymous

We`ve travelled to amsterdam for a girl`s weekend for the last 3 years, this was the first time we`d stayed at the eden as the hotel we normally stayed in was full .we booked the eden and worried in case it wouldn`t be very good,our worries were totally unfounded as we found the eden hotel to be extremely clean ,friendly and comfortable the rooms had been refurbished to a very high standard and the location was excellent for all places of interest . we would certainly go back there if we returned to amsterdam and would recommend it to friends.As their were 6 of us we asked for 3 rooms together our request was actioned. however they were overlooking a back alley with a night club straight accross and although 4 out of the 6 people didn`t really hear any disturbances the other 2 couldn`t sleep because of the noise. also the young concierge sent us on a 30 minute walk to some where we could have walked to in 5 minutes when we asked him how to get there, we felt his local knowledge should have been betterCampbell

All the staff were extremely helpful & the cleanliness was superb.I was wased to leave my card details when checking in for incidentals and this led me to check my bank account when i returned home. i found that although i had paid for both rooms on 15th may-08 over the internet booking system, i had been charged for 1 of the rooms again on the date we arrived 20.06.08, this was then credited back the same day but due to conversions rates i lost out £14. it looks like an error made while i was there at the hotel but i was not informed of this by the reception staff. my bank have said that they will not pursue this as i know what the transaction is, it is not classed as fraud. whilst i agree that it isn't fraud more likely human error, i am now left having to sort this myself.Anonymous

Great find - central location, nice clean modern looking hotel. service good - all round excellent! great spot to base yourself to explore amsterdam. (didn't try breakfast so can't comment on that)NoneAnonymous

Very clean with good towels--not too oversized or not too small great bedside lighting for reading nice quiet locationWe were very pleased with the hotel and experienced nothing negative. the hotel is wonderful for business travellers, we think, as it has a reserved atmosphere. Naomi Quinn

Once we asked to move from the studio we were given a lovely room inside the hotelWe were 'upgraded' on arrival to a studio room which turned out to be a dark dirty room on the ground floor around the side of the hotel on a noisy street. when we complained we were told we should expect noise which is true considering it is a city centre hotel. however, we did not expect the pidgeons thay decided to walk up and down a plastic roof over the kitchen side of the bedroom from very early morning!!!Anonymous
