Fantasia Hotel is a friendly, non smoking, family hotel with an outstanding service. The hotel, situated in a canal house from 1733, is located on a very quiet canal in the center of Amsterdam. Many places of interest are on the doorstep.
Fantasia Hotel has 19 non smoking, well equipped, comfortable rooms, including a family room. All rooms have radio, telephone and free coffee & tea making facilities. Eighteen rooms have private shower and toilet.
The staff of the Fantasia Hotel is well versed on all Amsterdam has to offer. The beautiful garden of the hotel is an oasis of peace in the lively city. Breakfast is being served in the breakfast room on the 1st floor where cows are smiling down at you from the walls.

The hotel, situated in a canal house from 1733, is located on a very quiet canal in the center of Amsterdam. Many places of interest are on the doorstep.
The hotel which is situated on the Nieuwe Keizersgracht is located close to the vibrant Rembrandt Square, Waterloo square with its music theatre, the Hermitage Amsterdam Museum, Carré theatre, the Jewis Historical Museum and the zoo, Artis.
How to reach the hotel?1) From SCHIPHOL AIRPORT: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the Airport to Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the Central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2)
2) From CENTRAL STATION: You can take metro: 51, 53 and 54 from the square in front of the station to the Waterlooplein. From there you can walk to the hotel +/- 5 min. the trams in Amsterdam are running normaly from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM

The young turkish receptionist was excellent - not just to me but to many other people with whom i observed him dealing. the place was friendly, and it offered what it said it would offer. informal, slightly scruffy, decent basic breakfast. 
i thought i was paying quite a lot of money, but i don't know much about hotel prices - and it was significantly cheaper for the two extra days i spent there. the staff were helpful. i would have liked breakfast a bit earlier - say at 7.30. - but preparing it earlier would have woken up the person next door - who happened to be me, but who might have been someone who wanted to sleep later.Anonymous

The hotel is convenient for most attractions in town and it is clean.The breakfast was extremely poor and the member of staff on check-in was rude and not very helpful but this said the rest of the staff seemed pleasantAnonymous
