Golden Tulip Amsterdam Centre Hotel is situated in the historical heart of the city, walking distance from many shopping streets and department stores. Because of its unique location at a traffic free square, we can guarantee an undisturbed goodnight sleep.
The hotel has 239 comfortable modern hotel rooms. All rooms are air-conditioned and warmly decorated, and equipped with facilities such as a luxurious bathroom, climate control, a safe, coffee and tea facilities and many more. Please note that all rooms are non-smoking.
Furthermore the hotel has 3 meeting suites, suitable for small and comfortable business gathering up to 8 persons. I read a few bad comments about the hotel, so was a little weary. but had no issues with the hotel at all! staff were lovely, bedrooms were clean and modern (maybe a touch too small). location is excellent! it's a few mins walk to the centre and only about 15 mins away from vondel park. i would definitely stay again!Anonymous

Mostly the hotel staff was very friendly, although the young lady who check us in, seemed far to serious/unhappy - maybe she should not work on a front counter....The price of breakfast was far too expensive. the choice of food very good, but 22 euro per person per breakfast - not acceptable!John Hart

Good location, very clean, friendly and efficient staffWhen we arrived we was asked for a card to authorise the booking. i gave my debit card which had all of our spending money . the system locked out all of the money. fortunately this was quickly resolved but the staff should ask for the card that the room payment is to be made from and not any card and explain the consequences. the bar is a bit bland, no atmosphereMichael Scullion

Although in the centre of amsterdam, our room was very quiet. the hotel is situated in a square filled with tables and chairs where one can eat or have drinks. there are restaurants all around. also over the road are trams to all the places one wants to visit. the station is near also. Great location - just a few minutes walk from the center. clean rooms, nice bar area, courteous staff. rooms have everything you need and are a reasonable size.Prices fluctuate greatly between days, our second day cost almost twice as much as the first - don't know why. however we knew this when we booked.
