Description
Golden Tulip Apollo Amsterdam has 223 rooms. In addition to the 69 Standard Business Rooms the hotel has 138 spacious Executive Rooms with extra comfort and 16 Suites with a beautiful view of the five canals.
We are happy to welcome you to our trendy lounge bar. Seated on one of the comfortable sofas you will enjoy a beautiful view of the water. Our fish restaurant, known throughout Amsterdam and the entire vicinity, has been under the inspired leadership of Master Chef Rob Blaauboer and his brigade for years.
The Golden Tulip Apollo Amsterdam has 6 beautiful conference rooms, with a maximum capacity of 300 guests. The Beau Rivage, Belvédère and the Belle Vue rooms offer a beautiful view of the water. During fine weather it is even possible to hold your meeting, presentation, coffee break or reception outside on our spacious terrace on the waterside, our while making a trip in our private sloop.

How to reach the hotel?1) From SCHIPHOL AIRPORT: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the Airport to Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the Central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2)
2) From CENTRAL STATION: You can take tram: 5 and 24 from the square in front of the station to the Apollolaan. From there you can walk to the hotel +/- 5 min. the trams in Amsterdam are running normaly from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM

The waiting staff were priceless. we had to good fortune on our last evening to have a fantastic waiter in the restaurant (unfortunatley i didn't get his name) both my husband and i commented on how attentive he was. thank you for making a trip extra special. also the concierge were extremley helpful.The reception staff were very unhelpful and struggled to smile.Tooth

The staff at the front desk was exceptional. they were always willing to assist.We were disappointed with the breakfast dining room staff. we were surprised that breakfast was only served until 10:30 on the weekend. i asked family to join us on saturday morning. we were seated just before 10:00 and at 10:15 we were informed that we had to finish selecting our food items, since the staff would take it away promply at 10:30. at 10:30 we were told to please finish our coffee and move into the outside area because the dining area was closing. i have never been asked to leave a dining room before i finished with my coffee before. my family lives in amsterdam and they thought it was very rude. we have stayed in many restaurants after they closed to finish our food and coffee and have never been rushed before. The standard of the building, restaurant and cafe were all high, modern and clean. all staff were courteous and helpful.Even for all the quality, it is still a touch expensive, given that it's not in the midst of things, but if you like it quieter it's not so far away (short walk to trams)- amsterdam is relatively small city.Bianca Van Riet

The staff were friendly and helpfulWhere do i start. the room was supposed to have a view of the canal or amsterdam south. it overlooked a car park! it was supposed to have a double bed but had 2 singles pushed together. there was supposed to be an iron and board in the room but we had to request it from housekeeping. it was supposed to be central but was at least half an hour away from the centre of town. wouldn't recommend it to anyone.Anonymous

Interaction with staff is so important and i found all of the staff helpful, friendly with warm smiling faces. i could have chatted to michele over coffee at the bar for hours. he brought a certain depth and joyous energy to the place. a very special gentleman. he was attentive to all of his customers. the rooms were adequate - small space but everything in them was very clean, well organised & fresh.
