Great beds and spa and the staff are very attentive.
Normally i have no complaints about the amrath but this time when i arrived at my room, the mini bar had not been re-stocked and i had to wait from housekeeping to refill it. the next evening my room was not cleaned at all nor was the mini bar re-stocked. i had to ask them to sort this out while i went for dinner. am sure this was just an oversight on the rota.Joy Robinson

The hotel had amazing decor, and was situated conveniently for other attractions. generally staff were excellent in restaurant and bar.There were two members of staff who were paticularly rude to us, so much in fact that another member overheard the conversation and came and apologised. they did not seem to want to provide anything that wasn't on their agenda!!Zenker

We got the superior deluxe room. it was beautiful and huge. the shower and bath tub was wonderful after a full day of walking. staff can not do enough for you. friendly and extremely helpful. location was perfect if you want quiet but in the heart of everything. the free mini bar was excellent lots of choices we were pleasantly surprised.I can not stress enough the need for independent access to the hotel for disabled people. you need someone with you to go inside and get the bell man to open the wheelchair door around the corner. also a hand rail would be safer for walking up the front steps. The amrath is the only way to experience amsterdam! everything is central to the hotel and if you need to travel central station is across the road. staff are very friendly and do there best to make sure your stay is one the most memorable. i was so impressed that i decided to extend my stay another three nights. the rooms are amazing with double height ceilings, big bay windows and free daily minibar. then the facilities are similar to the wellness centre at versace gold coast with saunas, steam room, spa, pool and gym.
