Hampshire Hotel – Beethoven is a first class hotel in the prestigious Beethovenstraat, named in 1925 after the german componer Ludwig van Beethoven. The hotel offers 52 renovated hotelrooms with wireless internet possibilities, pay-tv and bath/shower.

How to reach the hotel?1) From SCHIPHOL AIRPORT: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the Airport to Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the Central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2)
2) From CENTRAL STATION: You can take tram: 5 from the square in front of the station to the Gerrit van der veenstraat. From there you can walk to the hotel +/- 2 min. the trams in Amsterdam are running normaly from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM

Breakfast is very good and so is the staff. very helpful and accommodating. first they gave us a small room but as the ac was not working we were shifted to a much better and bigger room.

Since the upgrade, the hotel looks really nice. especially the bathrooms and the big shower heads :-)The cleaning room entered the room two times while we were still sleeping.Marina Coscia

The hotel is situated a short tram ride from the centre. its very clean and bright. we turned up with an extra guest and they managed to find us a room for 3 that was huge. plenty of choice at breakfast. cant fault it to be honest.I guess it could be difficult to park nearby, though we found a space quite quickly.Anonymous

The hotel was off the beaten track, in a quiet respectable area, with lots of posh shops nearby. the room was big and clean, with its own bathroom; the hotel had a lift and the breakfast was excellent. it is right opposite a tram stop served by 2 tramlines, and we found it useful to buy the 24 hour travel ticket to get us around town.NoAnonymous

Got a large twin room for myself. close to wtc and one of the few hotels that include breakfast (even though it's nothing spectacular)Cold (heating not always on, particularly in the morning). no hot water one evening. wifi is 10 euros from noon to noon. poor choice of free tv channels. noisy ventilation when it was raining.Anonymous

Staff were fantastic, really helpful and courteous, it suits people who are used to travelling and want a simple but clean place to retire to.
Buffet was a bit hit and miss at breakfast time and the hotel was currently under renovations on one floor which made the hotel feel a bit chaotic at times, i would probably recommend that you use this hotel without the breakfast buffet then it serves all your needs and there is a fantastic coffee house right next door!Anonymous
