Hampshire Inn Prinsengracht is renowned for its excellent service and friendly staff, through which you feel right at home. The hotel offers 33 comfortable bedrooms of which 12 standard single, 10 standard double rooms, 6 Deluxe rooms and 2 Superior rooms each with their own private bathroom with shower (or bath), flatscreen TV, telephone, hairdryer, coffee / tea facilities and safe. All rooms have either canal view or garden view. Besides the 33 rooms in our hotel, we also offer you our private garden house that consists of a double room and a twin room with shared bathroom.
The hotel has a lift, an internet corner, wireless internet, a small bar and a breakfast room, which looks onto the pleasant garden at the rear of the hotel. During fine weather in the summer months, a relaxing breakfast or a drink can be enjoyed in the garden.

How to reach the hotel?1) From SCHIPHOL AIRPORT: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the Airport to Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the Central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2)
2) From CENTRAL STATION: You can take tram: 16, 24 and 25 from the square in front of the station to the Keizersgracht/vijzelsstraat. From there you can walk to the hotel +/- 4 min. the trams in Amsterdam are running normaly from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM

Excellent hotel, a ten minute walk away from the bustle of main bars, coffee shops and tourist attractions. hotel staff were friendly and helpful. hotel was on a very quiet and peaceful canal. room had an excellent view of the canal and rikjs museum in the distance.

The hotel was excellent. the staff were so polite and helpful. lovely, clean rooms - we stayed in the garden room which was brilliant, loads of space and privacy. we loved being able to sit outside at the tables and chairs and enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. the location was excellent also. within walking distance of just about everything. close to transport links aswell. lovely bars and restaurants close by and being right next to the canal added an extra special touch. we would definately stay there again. A group of five stayed here for one night,and all were happy with the facilities provided,we came on motorcycles and were able to leave our gear in a secure store room after we vacated the rooms so that we could continue touring the city until we needed to leave later in the day,parking is limited, we managed to leave our three bikes outside the hotel but anymore would be tight,apart from that we were very happy with the hotel and the staff.Hackett

Well situated, nice outlook, clean, comfortable, well appointed room. very helpful staff.The lift / elevator was not working and as we were on the 5th floor with 90 stairs to climb this was a bit of an effort especially when carrying a large suitcase to the room when we arrived and back down again when we left.Anonymous

When we walked into the hotel room it honestly looked exactly like the picture on the website. the room was clean and beautiful and the hotel staff was very kind and helpful with everything, including telling us where we could go for different things throughout the city during our stay. highly recommended!The door to our bathroom was broken, but other than that i couldn't find anything else wrong if i were looking for it!Anonymous

It was nice enough, good helpful staff, clean room. the location was nice too... close to many things.Even though it was a non-smoking hotel, people still smoked and it filled my room with the smell of smoke. that aspect of my stay was terrible. i had to sleep with windows open at night which was very cold for this time of year. if they have that rule they should really enforce it. i regret not asking to switch rooms or switch floors.David Eggar
