Heart is situated in the real heart of Amsterdam, all what you need is beside you, shopping centre’s, night clubs, cinemas, Red light district and all other attractions of Amsterdam.
Heart is a warm, comfortable and quiet place in the busiest area in the world.
Heart is totally renovated in the period of January & February 2008; the Heart is designed with Hollywood atmosphere, every room (from our 24 rooms) gets a movie name, movie pictures, story of the movie and movie colors.
We have in our property twins, triples, quads, 6p, 7p, 8p and 12 person rooms, total of 130 beds, the rooms are all en-suite. Breakfast is included.

How to reach the hotel?1) From SCHIPHOL AIRPORT: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the Airport to Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the Central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2)
2) From CENTRAL STATION: You can take metro: 51 and 54 from the square in front of the station to the Nieuwmarkt. From there you can walk to the hotel +/- 5 min. the trams in Amsterdam are running normaly from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM

Really nice people working at the desk - they like jazz music.
nice breakfast considering the very limited facilities of the hotel.

hotel is located right in the centre of the redlight district, so you have to be alert at times as the staff kindly explained to us.Breakfast is served in the 40 sq m reception area that seats around <30 pers. some mornings we weren't able to sit down at all.
wireless internet only reached to the second floor (we were at the fifth).

The central location was definitely the best feature of this hostel because everything in amsterdam was within walking distance. there were tv's inside the rooms, which were great, and the breakfast was really good too.The rooms were messy and not well ventilated, the showers and toilets were always wet and covered in toilet paper.Anonymous

The heart of amsterdam is a perfect spot to enjoy all the luxuries amsterdam offers, a stones throw away from the prossies, within a minute of the cafes and 5 mins from the dam square, the only thing as would be expected in red light district is that is the small offchance u might be harassed or mugged - i was basically forced into handing over 5 euros to stop the 2 black geezers from mugging me - this was at 4 in morning with me pissed stoned and mushroomed up, so all in all a good experience.Anonymous

The hotel was very nice having recently been renovated, and you couldn't get closer to the centre if you tried.Just one word of warning, the hotel is patroned by the younger person, this probably being due to the fact that the hotel is located slap bang in the middle of the red light district. surrounded by "coffee shops" and sex shows. not a problem if thats what your after.Anonymous

Met some great people. beds were clean, hotel was interesting and well placed. hotel staff was very helpful, especially with the wireless internet connection when it wasn't working for me. the breakfast was excellent as well.Not really. the hotel itself could only be improved with a bar.Simon Qadri

This was a fantasic hostel in the heart of the red light district, six of us stayed in one room and i don't think any one disliked it (although the star wars theme was notto everyones tastes). the staff were extremely friendly and very helpful and the breakfast was pretty too. the room was a decent size and cleaner than we had expected. i would wholeheartedly recommend this hostel to any young people going to amsterdam and would look it up again if i go back.My only complaint is the the bathroom was a bit dark and there weren't enough mirrors.Mark Ingram

Helpful & friendly staff.Lack of keys for guests to hold leading to need to constantly visit the desk to obtain access to rooms... its not necessary as people do not want to repeatedly have to ask for access to accommodation they have paid for.
water was not hot after first 2 showers meaning 4 people had to have a cold shower.
