Description
HEM Hotel Amsterdam is a three star hotel. The hotel is nicely situated in the south/west part, directly at the city ring (A10/A4/A2). The hotel is easy to reach with public transport. For your car or touring car we have a closed parking lot (paid parking). All 218 rooms are modern equipped. All the rooms have a shower, toilet and hairdryer. A limited amount of rooms have a Jacuzzi. All rooms are non- smoking rooms. There is a wireless internet connection in the hotel All the rooms have a colour TV connected with pay TV. Almost all rooms are equipped with air-conditioning. Every room has a generously sized desk and a (alarm clock) radio.

How to reach the hotel?1) From SCHIPHOL AIRPORT: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the Airport to Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the Central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2)
2) From CENTRAL STATION: You can take tram: 2 from the square in front of the station to the Westlandgracht. From there you can walk to the hotel +/- 6 min. the trams in Amsterdam are running normaly from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM

The room was great value for money and clean although there are no hot tubs/jacuzzi available despite the info on net, the hotel was close enough to city centre by tram which are regular but can be costly i recomend a day pass for 7 euro if u are going to be going around town/red light and trams do not run all night as we found out when we had to walk back to hem bit worse for wear haha!! but it isnt really that far sober. all in all had brill time and will be staying at the hem hotel when we go back. please feel free to e-mail me for more info nad_23@hotmail.co.ukShower head was broke in roomAnonymous

We stayed in a barrack behind the main building, you could hear every step of other people in the house, the bathroom was poorly eqipped and the toilet area so narrow, that one could only sit from the side on it. that's certainly no 3-star-hotel! never again!Anonymous

Decent value, liked having bathroom in roomThe room was part of an annex adjacent to the actual hotel, and it was ugly, smelly, and not terribly clean... it was fine for a couple of young guys going out on the town, but i don't think any women would find the room acceptable... the annex needs to be torn down and rebuilt Lesa Monday

Wanted to spend day in amsterdam (3 adults, 2 kids) before going to schiphol the next day, so location was perfect. compared to other hotels near schiphol their room rates for 2 + 3 bed rooms were very low, yet standard of hotel, while not top notch was certainly better than expected of hotels in this price rangeThe 4 bedroom looked in need of a bit of attention. water marks on the ceiling, dust on the window sill. otherwise all fine.Anonymous
