Beautiful decorated and spacious apartments in the canal area / centre of Amsterdam All our apartments are located in 16th century canal houses and of high modern standards. Each apartment is completely furnished and has a modern kitchen with all utilities such as microwave, cooker, fridge, coffee machine. Standard we offer 24h broadband internet (free of charge), cable television, dvd player, music system with cd player, central heating. Bed linen and towels are supplied & on arrival you will find a bottle of wine to welcome you in your new home. Home & Away offers additional cleaning, cell phone service, grocery and taxi services on demand for all our guests. Price per month EUR 2750, - .

How to reach the hotel?*How do I get to the Home & Away Apartments Hotel by public transport? :
1) From SCHIPHOL AIRPORT: Call the contact person for your check in (you will find the number on your confirmation that Home & Away sends you. Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the Airport to Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the Central station are running 24h (go to step 2)
2) From CENTRAL STATION: You can walk to the apartments or take the trams in Amsterdam as you exit the station the lines on your right hand. (lines 1,2,5,13 or 17) Jump on and exit the 1st stop "nieuwezijds kolk" Call us when you are at the tramstop and we will pick you up and check you into the apartment. Apartment was right by the anne frank house and city center. staff was very informative and helpful. nice canal view and very comfortable bed and pillows. would stay again perfect for young couple can't beat the price. i would recommend taking a taxi to the apartment and not the tram if you have a lot of luggage. 
The washer and dryer didn't work at all.(all though staff offered to pickup and drop off the next day) stairs were very steep and narrow. pictures were deceiving and hard to find out where we where staying at. all in all great experience.Anonymous

Made to feel very welcome on arrival. the apartment is beautiful and in a central location.Main complaint, noise level. apartment is in a busy area so understandable to a degree. one night, however, the tram lines were dug up and replaced. alot of vibrations, noise and fumes. this began at about 1am and continued to approx. 6am.Anonymous

Absolute stunning spacious appartment with the plus of a roof terrace, will be staying in that very appartment on my 11th visit to amsterdam,(and 12th and 13th and 14th etc etc), i booked the appartment and was the golden boy with all my pals that weekend, thankyou so much and expect me back very soon.MARK NEWALL

We are a 27 year old male and female couple. the hotel was actually a house boat in amsterdam. it was within walking distance of everything. we had the time of our lives! it was so much fun that we plan on getting the same boat within the next year. a+Can't really think of any. we had everything we needed. we didn't want to leave!!Mrs Carole Adams

The apartment was big and quite modern than i expected. location and the view from the bed room is great as it facing the cannal although it's a bit far away from central station.The front entrance is very doggy as it was smelly and dirty. not impressed at all. this apartment can be loads nicer if it was clean and a bit of decoration.Anonymous

This was a superb apartment with plenty of space and character. it was situated in a thriving part of the city, not far from the station and close to dam square. the owner met us at the tram stop and was helpful without being intrusive. a really positive, enjoyable experience. recommended.Frederic Echegut

good location, clean, quiet, value for money. would stay there again. it was a apt so can not recommend any hotel nor staff.would recommend it to all Plants in the apt. plus on the balocny off the kitchen all dead and very un kept balocony very dirty a general sweep up there as it gave a very poor un loved image. leather arms chairs very un comfortable just to chill out when you come back as u do alot of walking during the day.as a couple u cant snuggle up. do with tea cloth tray one roll of toliet paper had to go out and buy some. I have been going to amsterdam for the last 12 years and everytime i have stayed i have used a hotel. this time we used the "home & away apartments" and it was a fantastic experience, the apartment was outstanding, we couldnt have asked for more, i will be using "home & away apartments" every time i go to amsterdam from now on. i would highly recommend these apartments, the guy tht ownes the apartments is neil, he was a great guy very helpful, the all round service we received was 10 out of 10 Christine

We stayed in a home and away apartment, very near to the town centre. (a place called ‘prinsenstraght’ - i think that’s the way you spell it). it was our first time in amsterdam and it was a very pleasurable stay. the location was great, about a 10 min walk to dam square. we stayed in a studio apartment for 2 and everything was perfect. there was enough cutlery, linen and towels – which was great! next time we go back, we will definitely be staying in the same apartment, if we can get it! also, we were welcomed with a bottle of wine on arrival (nice touch!)
