Description
Hotel Amstelzicht is a 3 star hotel located in the historical heart of Amsterdam behind the famous “Rembrandtplein”. Hotel Amstelzicht has a tasteful and warm atmosphere and is suitable for tourists because of the centrally location for shopping (Kalverstraat), Museums(Van Gogh), entertainment(Rembrandtplein) as well as business guests (RAI Exhibition Centre). The historical building where the hotel is located in, was build in 1659 and is totally renovated. With the 17 rooms and 3 apartments, we are a small hotel and we created a warm a relaxing atmosphere. For us hospitality is the most important thing and therefore we hope that we may welcome you at Hotel Amstelzicht and give you a taste of our wonderful atmosphere. There is no elevator. The Hotel will be a non-smoking hotel from the 1th of july 2008. Please note:- Hotel Amstelzicht accepts the following creditcards: Visa, Mastercard and American Express (no Diners Club).- Payment is upon arrival. - The Hotel can pre-authorize the creditcard 7 days prior to arrival. - In case of NO SHOW or cancellation after due, the full stay will be charged.- Check in time for the rooms is after 2 pm and for the Apartments and Quadrooms after 5 pm. - THE HOTEL RECEPTION OPEN FROM 0800 AM UNTIL 2200 HRS,GUESTS ARRIVING BEFORE 0800 OR AFTER 2200 HRS MUST LET US KNOW ARRIVAL TIME AND FLIGHT NUMBER.

Paid parking is available at 5 min from hotel.The nearest parking garage is at the Stopera on 5 minutes walking from the hotel. Costs are around €30 euro per day.
For cheaper parking we advice our guests to park at the transferium (near Ajax Arena Stadium).
Shuttle Service:
Paid Shuttle service is available 24/7.You can take a shuttle bus from the airport and get out at hotel Schiller(Rembrandtplein). From there it is a 100 meter walk to the hotel. One way tickets are €13.50.

How can a guest reach the hotel by public transport from the airport?1) From SCHIPHOL AIRPORT: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the Airport to Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the Central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2)
2) From CENTRAL STATION: You can take metro: 51 and 54 from the square in front of the station to the Waterlooplein. From there you can walk to the hotel +/- 3 min. the trams in Amsterdam are running normaly from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM

Great location and courteous staff. also the canal view of amstel river was exactly as promised - beutiful. all in all good choice for a hotel.
We stayed at the canal view apartment which is located next door to the hotel. as the building is 400 years old, the stairs are very narrow and steep. this is not very good when travelling with older people or kids. also for this money (over 250€ per night) one would not expect to be asked to do any of the cleaning tasks. additionally the sofa bed in the living room had seen better days...
