Good value for the money. great stuff (the owners are friendly). breakfast is included, although simple, but still very good. very quiet area, lots of good restaurants nearby and pretty centrally located.

Hotel d'amsterdam was in a great location, very close to the lovely vondel park and within walking distance of restaunts, museums and the tram services. the hotel room was very clean and modern with great facilities. the staff were friendly and could speak veyr good english. the highlight of staying at the hotel was by far the breakfast! there was lots of choose from and it was all delicious!There really wasn't anything negative about this hotel!Anonymous

The location of the hotel was excellent. it was nice and quiet at night despite being in the city centre.The hotel was very basic & the room was very small. i had a problem checking in, i didn't realise the room hadn't been paid for as i gave details of my credit card when booking the room. i was under the impression it had been paid until the hotel asked me for payment.Arnold Finkelstein

The hotel is just around the corner from leidseplein. it's only a couple of minutes away from lots of bars & restaurants, but is on a side road, so is lovely & quiet.The room was really quite noisy. the room was clean, however the towels were small, thin, torn & had holes in them. it was also strange having to pay for the room for the entire stay before we'd even made it to the room!Anonymous

We were most impressed with the choice and quality of the breakfasts provided. We had asked for separate beds,and this request was not registered with the hotel. they provided the proper room after two days. this type of request was very important to us, and it was disappointing not to have what we requested at the beginning. Ideally located just down the road from leidesplein but in a fairly quiet spot. staff very helpful and friendly. great breakfast served from 8am til 10pm - cereal, toast, croissants, fruit, rolls, hams, cheeses, yoghurt etc. extremely steep stairs but no worries as there's a lift. tv and tea/coffee making facilities. comfy double bed. very clean. easy to gt to from airport. would stay again. Very freindly and helpfull, rooms were clean and well presented. let us book in early and leave our bags on last day.There was a kettle but no tea/coffee making facilities.
