Description
Hotel Damrak-inn is a charming two-star hotel located on Amsterdams main road Damrak. In front of the hotel you will find the “Beurs van Berlage” and behind that you will find the famous "Red Light District" .
The hotel is located on a 5 minutes walk from Amsterdam central station. The city's main bus and tram stop is in front of the station. Within five minutes you can reach all of Amsterdams famous attractions, such as the Rijksmuseum, the van Gogh museum, the House of Anne Frank and the Heineken brewery. Several payable public car parking garages are on a 5 minutes walk from the hotel.
All our rooms offer private shower and toilet, colour cable television and a private safe.
The reception desk is located on the first floor. Our helpful receptionists are on duty from 08.00 until 24.00. After midnight the night porter will provide your room-key and answers any questions you may have. In the morning from 07.00 until 10.00 the hotel offers the guests a free continental breakfast buffet in the restaurant next to the hotel, that includes different kinds of juices, coffees and teas.
Please note: reservations of 3 rooms and more are considered a group. Group bookings can be cancelled 2 weeks before arrival date without any charge!

From The Airport
The station is clearly marked and located in Schiphol Plaza at the center of the airport. Tickets to Amsterdam Centraal Station (one way 2nd class 3.10 EUR) can be conveniently purchased with a credit card at the yellow ticket booths or at the Dutch Railways ticket counter (3.60 EUR).
A taxi is approx. 32 EUR per person.
From The Railway Station
Amsterdam Centraal Station is within walking distance - just 300 meters/yards.
Exit the central station from its main entrance. With the station building behind you, keep to the right. Cross the bridge, then cross the road at the traffic lights and you will find yourself in the pedestrian section of Damrak, Amsterdam's main street, lined with cafés and just a few steps away from your comfortable bed at Hotel De Damrak-Inn.

The location of the hotel is very good,-close to citycenter and trainstationThe website promised too much,-we were led to believe that there would be a coffee/teemaker at the room,and that we could have a room for smokers,-neither happened.it would also have been nice to have been informed about the steep stairs,-having to climb the 4-floor !!!!Aujla

The shower spout is pretty strong for a good massage bath soon as arrived and the facilities are clean and neat.In the website, it does not state that there is no lift provided and we had to carry the heavy luggage ourselves all the way up to the narrow staircase. there was also no kettle to boil water in the rooom opposed to what was being stated as there is.Anonymous

The room was of excellent quality and cleanliness and location for the price. would visit again.The hotel could have been better equipped with a lift the stairs were a nightmare with cases. one of the clerks was slightly aggressive on the last day when asking us to leave as he had not been passed information detailing our later departure and was not very kind at all.Anonymous

The location was all that is good.This hotel is invested with mice on two occasions we had mice on our room. staff did not care. ended up having to move out and pay another hotel with no refund at all. staff are terrible and stairs are steep not good for elderly.Nicola Wallace

The hotel staff was niceThey have mice problems and then room walls had what i hope was ketchup on the walls and a smashed bug that im sure was clearly visible to the maid..they charged me for the room on my credit card so..between the two of you.. i was double charged..i am waiting for a refund.. if not a full refund..for what was the worst hotel i have ever stayed in..please take it off your website or downgrade it to a hostel..Danielle McPherson

It was very near the central station so we didnt have to walk far getting off the train,it was near everything really.It was very warm and there was alot of stairs adn there was a leak of water coming in the window to the floor.Anonymous
