By public transport:
1) From Schiphol Airport: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the Airport to Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the Central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2)
2) From Central Station: You can take tram 25 in front of the station to the 'Cornelis troostplein'. The travelling time is ± 15 minutes and from there you can walk to the hotel +/- 2 min. The trams in Amsterdam are normally running from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM
3) From Station Amstel: From here you can take tram 12 or bus 15 to 'Scheldestraat'. The travelling time is ± 10 minutes. The trams in Amsterdam are normally running from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM
4) From Station RAI: From here it is a 10 minutes walk to the Hotel Okura Amsterdam.
By car:
From all directions, follow Ring Amsterdam (A10). Take exit RAI (S109) and follow at the traffic lights, direction RAI/Centrum (S109). Follow the signs direction Zuid (S109). You drive straight on (passing the Rai Congress Centre on your left hand) en you follow the right lane, into the Scheldestraat. At the traffic lights you drive straight on and after 500 meters Hotel Okura Amsterdam appears at your right hand side.

It is well located, city centre very accessible by bus. the view of the room was excellent. about the room, good dimension. nice room service. the japaneese restaurant was excellent. 
Room would need to be refreshed as it looks a bit soiled. we had to claim once for the room to be cleaned. breakfast very expensive. Curtis

The check in process was extremely tedious, with no one of real responsibility being present in the evening and at night to deal with accounting problems. for a hotel of this calibre, it was very poor indeed. i will remain with the sheraton and intercontinental groups from now on. Anonymous
