Congratulations! You have found the nicest, all-around hotel in Amsterdam, Holland!

We are located a mere three minutes walk from the Central Station and have something to offer for everybody. Whether you want a luxury room with a dynamite view of an old Amsterdam canal or whether you want a simple room with the shower and toilet in the hall, or something in between, we have it all.

The hotel has a pleasant restaurant and a nice bar. The hotel also has an elevator and offers paid parking pick up&return services.

But most of all, we are typically Dutch "gezellig" (cosy). Our multilingual staff will make you feel at home away from home. They are ready to assist you with information about what to do during your stay in Amsterdam.

The Old Quarter Hotel is located in the old centre of Amsterdam, just a two minute walk from the Central Station. Lots of tourist attractions as well as the famous Red Light District are within walking distance of the hotel.

*How do I get to the Old Quarter Hotel by public transport? :

1) From SCHIPHOL AIRPORT: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the Airport to Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the Central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2)

2) From CENTRAL STATION: You dont have take the tram, you can walk to the hotel +/- 5 min. the trams in Amsterdam are running normaly from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM

Generally i got what i paid for.nothing glamorous but good for the price
Do not take a room facing what is a very noisy street al night long!! it was impossible to get any sleep even with earplugs

Very near all the action, basic , clean and cheap. friendly staff, lovely views from our window. this was my second stay there, and i would go back again.

Excellent location being about a 5 minute(if that)walk from the train station and about a 1 minute walk to the red light district. the free breakfast was not very substantial for hungry males (fine for my female partner though), however they do offer a really good english b'fast for 5euro for hotel guests.
The room was rather dirty (dusty) and not very quiet, as we were in room 22 which is close the door which all hotel guests use to get out of the hotel and then to be buzzed in.

The staff were very friendly and helpful especially the cook. the room had huge windows which opened out onto a beautiful view of the canal. the bed linen was changed every day and the en-suite (which was a wet room) was very clean.
The first room they gave us (room 20) was down a very steep flight of stairs which i found impossible to negotitate,(the lift did not go down past the ground floor). we asked for another room but apparently the hotel was full, but after asking for our money back because we wanted to find someone else to stay we were given another room which was much more suitable (no stairs).

Hotel is in a great location 2 mins from the station. our room was clean and tidy which is all we wanted. reception is open all night so we didn't have to worry about when we got back and there was a lift thank goodness as we were on the 4th floor! really enjoyed our stay would definatly go back.

The people at the hotel were absolutely great, i would recommend this hotel to anyone. awsome location couldn't get any better and the rooms were clean comfortable and well priced..

Stayed at this hotel several times now,city centre,rooms basic but very clean but wot do u need,staff always helpfull,the hotel has a bar and u can order meals allday an excellent choice.

Great location, 2 streets away from the red light. friendly staff. kept our luggage for the duration of our last day even though we were checked out. open 24 hours, but still secure.
Room 24 slopes so constantly felt like i was going to fall off the bed. breakfast was a bit stingy on the bacon.

Very good location, had a lovely view from our room. the bathroom was fairly large which is quite unusual for amsterdam. breakfast was nice.
Room decor was not particuarly nice but it was clean. not alot of storage space and staff were quite rude.
