Hotel ROBERTRAMON is a beautiful design hotel in the heart of Amsterdam situated on the most luxurious shopping street the P.C.Hooftstraat and is only a couple of steps away from the Rijksmuseum, the van Gogh museum and the Leidseplein. Scooter rental available at the hotel for hotel guests!
The interior of the hotel is trendy and modern and has been designed by the Dutch designer Edward van Vliet. Besides a hip hotel it is also once more a non-smoking hotel.

So near to the leidesplein, vondel park and other attractions that it made our stay much easier than it would have been otherwise. it felt like a very safe area, we where not troubled by noise late at night despite nearby road and street. the pc for common use on the first floor was a welcome feature and displayed a high level of trust. Loosing two euros in a vending machine for a non existent heineken. the bag for the waste bin was not replaced only removed, there was a horrendous maloderous stench in the bathroom that was incessently irritating and gave us both headaches. despite having the bathroom door locked and the fan on all day, the smell seemed to change every time we returned, not worse mo0re than different. there where cracks in the walls of the bathroom. the soap dispenser fell apart after one pump. the interior walls seemed to be made of recycled papier mache, unfortunately this seemed to amplify the sounds from the next rooms rather than sound proof. if you rent a bike there is nowhere to lock it up, also the staff are very diverse from the warm and friendly to the downright cheeky monkey!
overall the hotel robert ramon is more faux bijoux than boutique hotel.Anonymous

This hotel qualifies as cozy, chic and cheap. it is a great value and a superberb location in amsterdam. the rooms are small, but this is typical for this class of hotel.This hotel is not for light sleepers. the walls appear to be paper thin.Anonymous

The rooms were good and cleanFirst of all when we arrived the booking of the rooms were incorrect according to the hotel. we booked 3 twin rooms and a triple. they only had 2 and a triple on the system, at first the staff in charge said two of us had to find another hotel, this was unacceptable at that sort of notice. so eventually he said he could give us two single rooms. when he worked out the cost it worked out to be double the amount of the total cost for all the rooms. we then give him the booking reference number from easy to book.com and he phoned. he then came back with the price we had booked at. we thought that was it only to be told as we were leaving on the last day they asked that we didnt pay the full amount they had requested before they rung easytobook.com and wanted it. we didnt book that amount on the website so why should we have to pay it when we get to the hotel. We stayed at the hotel over the bank holiday weekend.we tought the hotel was nice it was a bit out of the way of all the tourist stuff we got a tram to dam square everyday.the rooms were nice small though especially the bathroom you wouldnt swing a cat in it and we were in a double room it was two single beds pushed together and they were on wheels so everytime we layed down they would push apart which was a pain..Oliver

Single room and bathroom very small but i knew that before i arrived from other reviews so no surprises. staff were outstanding, very friendly and courteous. great location, tram stop just metres away to get you into the dam.

Clean hotel,nicely decorated rooms, nice staff!!The fact that you didn't have internet connection is a big big minus, you should have gotten that sorted asap when it broke down!!! i missed 4 days of work due to that! the lobby and the terrace looked like it wasn't done, no furniture on the terrace and not even a 'cheap' coffe maker in the 'lobby'. there were no big mirror in the room and no hooks for coats etc. and no where u could get a cup of the in the evening. it's the little things that makes the difference. and a big minus is that it's noicy - i got woken up by cleaning personel twice on my 4 night stay. sorry guys - but there def needs a shape up!!!Anonymous
