Description
Hotel Sint Nicolaas is a small, two star hotel with 27 lovely hotel rooms that can accommodate up to 54 guests. In 1984 the building was converted from a mattress factory into a comfortable hotel. Recently, the hotel was modernised to meet the latest international safety and fire prevention codes; as well as to ensure that our regular and new guests will consider this place as their home-away-from-home.
The Hotel Sint Nicolaas is situated in the very centre of Amsterdam, close to the Amsterdam Central Station, guests find themselves within walking distance from many famous Dutch attractions. The friendly atmosphere and generous hospitality have drawn guests back to the hotel Sint Nicolaas over and over again.

-From the Station Take tram 1, 2, 5, 13 or 17 and get off one stop after Central Station. Then walk one block back.
-From Schiphol: Take the train to Amsterdam Central Station and take the tram 1, 2, 5, 13 or 17 or walk from the Central Station.
How to reach the hotel?1) From SCHIPHOL AIRPORT: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the Airport to Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the Central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2)
2) From CENTRAL STATION: You dont have take the tram, you can walk to the hotel +/- 5 min. the trams in Amsterdam are running normaly from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM

Great location, staff very helpful and friendly, room very clean, breakfast was included even though it said it was excluded - bonus! 
Room a bit small though perfect for what we wanted it for (a night in amsterdam!) but if you wanted to spend longer than a couple nights you might want to reconsider Anonymous

I've been to amsterdam a number of times over the years. i usually look for hotels of a similar price range and this i can honestly say this was the best hotel yet. the room is larger than you would expect from the standard tall, narrow format hotels you'd expect in amsterdam. it was very clean and stylishly simple. My pillow was lumpy but this was changed after the first night.Anonymous

Good location, nice lobby, good breakfast, bathroom nice but hotel room okay. i guess it could have been worse but rooms need to be updated.Pictures on your website are not the actual rooms at hotel sint nicolaas. i really hate when you book with a company that doesn't show you really what type of room you will be in. The location of this hotel was excellent, surrounded by shops and so close to the station! breakfast was very good and the interior very cozy. we enjoyed having drinks by the log fire before going out each night and the room was very comfortable and again, well decorated. i will definately be staying here again.Anand Gadhia

The hotel is a stones throw away from the train station which is great, so as soon as you get there, your not wondering around searching for somewhere in the little streets and canals of amsterdam central.A double bed would have been better than 2 single mattress's pushes together. but we managed! Not only is it close to central station but right beside the main shopping area of amsterdam as well. it's close enough to everything in the red light district that you can walk anywhere but it's out the way enough that you don't have all the crowds and noise coming from there. the rooms are basic, well kept and the breakfast isn't bad either.Gilbert Jeannon

This hotel is fab, cheap, very clean, rooms were spacious, staff were friendly and helpful, close to everything you could want in amsterdam, perfect for either a mad weekend away or a quiet retreat. cant speak highly enough of this place for what it cost.Pamela Miller

It was so close to everything we needed and very easy to find.The fact that the rooms were meant to be cleaned between 11 and 2, but actually weren't, we went out most days and got back after 2 and our room hadnt been cleaned! not that it was that messy!Anonymous

The hotel was located in a great position next to all the amenities. the room was very clean and in good order. staff were also very good. yes i would recommend it as good value to my friends and family.
