The hotel has 20 clean and pleasant rooms each with an en-suite bathroom. The hotel offers Twins, Triples, and Quads as well as bigger rooms. Sleeping however is not the only thing you can do at Hotel The Globe. The hotel has one of the biggest bars of the Red Light District that is open 24 hours! There is a restaurant in which not only English or American breakfast is served but also lunch and dinner.

The hotel is located in the city centre on a typical Amsterdam canal called 'Oudezijds Voorburgwal'. The hotel is situated in the Red Light District, close to Dam Square and Amsterdam Central Station.

Being in the middle of the city centre, this hotel is the perfect starting point to explore the city centre and its tourist attractions on foot as well as by public transportation.

How to reach the hotel? How to reach the hotel?
From Schiphol Airport: Take the train to Amsterdam Central Station which will cost you not more than 3,50 Euro and won't take longer than 22 minutes.

From Amsterdam Central Station: You don't need to take a tram to reach the hotel as the hotel is located within easy walking distance from the station. Walk out the front entrance of the station and head in the direction of 10 o’clock, towards the church tower and flags that are 150 meters away. Pass the NH Hotel Barbizon on the right side and walk down 'Nieuwe Brugsteeg' and take the second right down 'Sint Olofsteeg'. You will come out onto a canal (Oudezijds Voorburgwal) where you can see Hotel The Globe situated directly on the left side across the first bridge. (You'll see a big blue sign saying Sky Sports and The Globe)

Room very clean apart from dirty sheets take your own. right in middle of dam square if thats what you want,might try hotel away from square. great weekend.

I was informed payment would come out of my bank when i got to the hotel, once i arived i was then told i have to pay by my card which then cost me an extra £50. i found this extremly unfair putting me out of pocket and making me only pay the extra 50 an n

It is in a good location. nice bar and good facilities for sports viewing etc.
The rooms were a disgrace. although they had just been supposedly cleaned they were still dirty with rubbish still on the floor, poorly maintained. there were 3 of us staying in a triple room and the maid gave us one towel (to share?) so i had to get some more. you expect that if your in a hostel for £15 per night.

The hotel was low budget and we got what we asked for- a central location at a low price. no complaints, it was cheap and cheerful.
The stairs leading to the rooms smelt of sick when we first went into the hotel.

Very close to the cafes and bars, the food was nice as well and if your into sport it has about 15 t.v's in the bar
Rooms are very basic with no t.v, cant smoke in the bar
