Description
Hotel V frederiksplein is a brand-new, non-smoking hotel and is build in four 18th century monumental appartment buildings.
It is located at a brilliant spot in the city centre, on the edge of the beautiful frederiksplein and the trendy pijp area. The hotel is perfect for people that want to get to know amsterdam, with a tram and taxi stand in front of the door. It is in walking distance from the glamourous shops and restaurants in the Utrechtsestraat.
The inspiring and very multicultural Albert Cuyp market is almost around the corner of the hotel. The canals are truly within crawling distance and the Rembrandsplein and the Leidseplein, with their spectacular nightlife, are closeby. All famous museums and theatres can be easily reached as is the Rai convention centre.
When you enter the large but cosy lobby of hotel V frederiksplein you will be impressed by the design. It is one big space with different areas, exclusively for V guests. A beautiful wooden bar/kitchen that serves as breakfast restaurant in the morning will catch your eye. This is where the hotel serves the energizing breakfast buffet. In the afternoon and night it turns into a nice place to have a V drink or a V bite.
You can't miss the cosy lounge with the smooth couch and stunning fireplace. The perfect place to recharge after a day in Amsterdam, listening to the funky soulful music and sipping at a drink, reading something or checking your mail. The rubber reception desk and the dark glassed meeting room are both equally impressive. Just as the cowhide wallpaper and the cork floor. But really breathtaking is the view from the whole lobby as you can watch Amsterdam life passing you by while sitting comfortably. In the summer the lobby will feel like an inside terrace, but you can also sit outside in the small and sheltered garden. All 48 rooms are brand-new and all are different. Funky new style hotel, great staff and easy location via trams or a 20 stroll, nice breakfast supplied and reasonable drinks and extras to add on. fantastic business room avail for onsite meetings as well.Rooms are very nice and good comfort, only slightly small , but hey when it was very clean and tidy, thats only a very small gripe.Anonymous

The hotel was in an excellent location, very close to the city centre & good tram service right outside. the staff were very friendly & helpful. Although we were very comfortable, the small room had very little storage for clothes, although there would have been space for a small chest of drawers.Anonymous

The staff were friendly and happy to help and the breakfast was good When we got to our room there was no clothes storing facility either a wardrobe or chest of drawers. the room was very cramped and there was no mirror in the room . the mirror was only in the bathroom and was not at a suitable height to use it easily. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful (other than the breakfast staff who seemed to be under pressure) the rooms were extremely small, you had to request a cupboard!! so noplace to hang clothes!! the hotel was modern but should be clearly lit up on the outside as we missed it and walked the entire lengh of frederiksplein before realising we had missed it at the beginning of the street. the tram sevice is excellent except don't arrive on queensday when there is no tram service and the road is disgusting and does not do the clean hotel justice.Room size, no cupboards, outside sign poorly lit upAnonymous

The staff were very helpful and the atmostphere is really relaxingNothing negitive about the hotel but upgrade to a delexe double as the normal double is very small. it is about a ten minute walk from leidespien and trams run from right outside which is great.
