Description
This is the ideal hotel to start your holidays in a relaxed manner. It offers parking for EUR 2.50 per day during your stay in other countries and there is a free shuttle service to and from Schiphol Airport.
Hotel Zwanenburg is the ideal place to stay for both businesspeople and tourists. Our hotel is located in the middle of the old village of Zwanenburg, only a few miles from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and the centre of Amsterdam and Haarlem. If you are on business our location in the middle of the Randstad provides easy accessibility to all major roads. Business-parks Westpoort and Waardepolder are just a few minutes away. When on holiday our location is also perfectly suited, with Haarlem and Amsterdam and their many museums and attractions nearby. The bulb fields of Lisse, the windmills of Zaansche Schans and the lively seaside resort of Zandvoort aan Zee are just a few miles away. Adjacent to the hotel in recreation park Spaarnwoude there is an 18-hole golf course to accommodate our sport-loving guests. Our three-star hotel has 47 rooms, of which a number are luxurious suites. Smoke free rooms are available to our non-smoking guests. Hospitality is our top priority. We try to make our guests stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. Our restaurant The Monarch is open every evening. You can also enjoy a light meal in our pleasant lounge which is open during the day and evening. Guests can employ the services of a sports masseur and a beautician by appointment through the front desk. If you are on business our location in the middle of the Randstad provides easy accessibility to all major roads. Business-parks Westpoort and Waardepolder are just a few minutes away. For visiting a congress in the RAI it is very easy to reach the RAI by car trough the highways A4 and the A9. Also by public transport the RAI is easy to reach.

The moment you arrive at schiphol airport you contact the hotel and you will be picked up at bus stop B14 . Please tell the reception your name and the amount of persons there are waiting for the shuttle from your reservation. You can find bus Stop B14 just outside the arrival hall. The shuttle is running from Monday till Friday from 05.30 in the morning till O1.00 at night, last call for the shuttle is possible on 00.30. On Saturday and Sunday from 06.30 in the morning till 01.00 at night. The last call from the airport for the shuttle is possible till 00.30 at night. How to reach the hotel?1) From SCHIPHOL AIRPORT: You can take bus: 300 from the square in front of the station to the Spaarneziekenhuis from there you tak bus 79 to the berkenlaan. From there you can walk to the hotel +/- 4 min. Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the Airport to Central Station.

We felt welcome and had a very good night's sleep. the breakfast offered was adequate [however, the enthusiastic waitress removed our glasses with juice in them before we were finished]. an adequate facility.We were unable to locate complete seatbelts on the seat behind the driver. not being able to use the shuttle [at a nominal cost] to get to other places is a problem as there is no other transport and when you are an international guest you are stuck there with no possibility to go anywhere else. please note that the main purpose of our stay was to connect with another flight [that category is not included in the question relating to the puspose of our stay.Anonymous

I found the hotel staff including the drivers to be extremely helpful and friendly. the breakfast was good value for the money and the general location of the hitel and the atmosphere of the village were exactly what i was looking for. it is a small more-or-less self service kind of establishment and was quiet, prompt on pick-up and return to the airport, and good value. no-frills service but excellent value.Anonymous

The coloured receptionist was very nice and helpful and helped us with finding informations about a new museumThe other lady receptionist was useless; she couldn't help at all : we asked her what bus to take to the staion, she couldn't help, a couple asked them how to go to kekenhauf, once again she couldn't
it is just a small thing, but there was nothing to eat on offer at the bar (for a 3 star hotel, it's a bit disappointing...)
the chmbermaid apparently serviced the room, but never bothered to make the bed (we even found 1 day the bedspread on the beside table!!). once again, i think it's not up to 3 stars.
and last but not least, the free airport shuttle is very convenient and it's very nice to offer this service. but i don't thing it's right to display a check out time for 11.00am and organise the last shuttle for 10.30am. and the worse is that nobody tells you on checking in that you need to book your shuttle at very limited times.Anonymous

The man at the reception was very friendly and helpfull. our wake-up-call was in time and we were at the airport in time. perfect.It took quite long (over half an hour)to pick us up from the airport after our phonecall to come get us. but don't want it to call too negative, because i know traffic is very busy.Debbie Knight

We booked the hotel from paris only 24 hours in advance. we arrived at the airport in amsterdam late at night in pouring rain. we had to find help getting the telephone number for the hotel (it isnot given on the web site), but then we were told that the shuttle would pick us up in half an hour. they were on time and although it was late, we were served dinner when we arrived at the hotel. the best onion soupl we have ever had and a wonderful salad!
we had to be up at 5am and we were awakened on time and were taken to the airport for our early flight.
we arrived in the dark and left in the dark, so we do not really know anything about the town and how convenient it is to amsterdam, that is, public transportation. we needed a hotel near the airport/train station and this was only 20 minutes away.It would be nice to have complimentary coffee and a small pastry in the early am. also, a flyer or a business card for the hotel with web site and telephone listed.
