Description

Hotel Mozart is a warm and charming hotel with a nice atmosphere, located in the heart of Amsterdam. The hotel has been renovated and was re-opened in April 2006.

The hotel is centrally located on one of the Amsterdam's famous canals called 'Prinsengracht'. It's close to the bustling nightlife around 'Leidseplein'. Also the historic city centre is closeby. On one side of the hotel you'll find the Museum Square with many museums, the Concertgebouw and theatres. On the other side you'll find the famous Vondelpark: an ideal place to jog, have a stroll or to relax in the sun.

The hotel has 47 comfortable rooms and some rooms have a quiet and romantic view on the Prinsengracht, others are located on the lively streetside with its monumental buildings. All rooms can be reached by elevator.

The hotel offers wireless Internet connection and in the morning you can enjoy a nice breakfast in the sunny breakfast room with a view on the canal.

How to reach the hotel? How to reach the hotel?
1) From Schiphol Airport: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the airport to Amsterdam Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2).

2) From Amsterdam Central Station: You can take tram nr. 1, 2 or 5 from the square in front of the station to stop 'Prinsengracht' at the leidsestraat. From there you can walk to the hotel. The trams in Amsterdam are normally running from 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM.

Our room was in the basement with a very small window,, was very hot and we couldn't breath normal.and the lady with the blonde hair on the reception have to change mood.

Very pleasant location situated on one of the canals. within easy walking distance of the main shopping, cafe/restaurant and other attractions. staff were courteous and helpful. for breakfast there was a good selection of food and drinks for self selection.
Hotel room was small in the 'middle' of the hotel with only a small window that looked out onto a gap between two tall buildings. it was necessary to keep the window open all the time as the room was very stuffy, hot and airless - could have done with a fan or air conditioning to circulate the air. the window was in a gap surrounded in close proximity by two other windows of other rooms (one immediately across so had to keep curtains closed) this meant that as the others also had their windows open you could hear everything that was said in the other rooms which was a bit noisy when people arrived back late at night. the room was tidy and clean but very basic and bare. the bathroom was also very small.

The room was very small with dirty hand prints on the walls. there was no where to leave our luggage on the last day so we had to carry it around with us all day until our evening flight

This is a brilliant place to stay. close to eveything, on the tram line, looking over a canal, friendly staff and just down the road from a wicked bakery. i took my two young children and was a little worried after reading some reviews, but was happily impressed with the location, the staff and the overall niceness of the hotel. it wasn't noisy, dirty or too cramped. it was perfect for our trip, we loved it as our base, and would return if returning to amsterdam without question.

Very helpful staff, relaxed atmosphere, no drugs or stag night groups, clean, nice breakfast, fantastic location, lift in the hotel.
Very small rooms. no window / fan in the bathroom, not very nice view from the back rooms, no locked luggage storage.

It is in a good location.
Tiny room on 4th floor. i paid extra for the upgrade - what would i have been in if i hadn't paid extra does not bear thinking about. it took aus 2 days to get a remote control that worked. no glasses in the room for a drink of water.

The most positive experience i had was coming up on some golden teachers while the osbournes was on!

No toaster at breakfast. not ideal to eat by reception. staff very young and would not be capable of difusing situations which may occur due to noisy guests, drunken guests etc, some staff obviously nothappy in their work

Adequate breakfst but not much variety day to day. rooms on the small side but clean and beds/ bedding clean & comfortable.
Bit noisy on occasssion at night - due to younger guests being nearby . reception area used as dining area - not ideal. some staff very helpful - most staff appeared to have rather not been there.

Clean, comfortable, high quality breakfast, excelllent location and staff unobtrusive but very helpful if you needed anything. room with canal view was worth the extra money. i would thoroughly recommend it.
Rooms a bit on the small side, but clean and comfortable.
