*How do I get to the Victoria Hotel by public transport? :

1) From SCHIPHOL AIRPORT: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the Airport to Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the Central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2)

2) From CENTRAL STATION: You dont have take the tram, you can walk to the hotel +/- 5 min. the trams in Amsterdam are running normaly from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM

Location excellent. opposite central station with trains departing to schipol airport every 15 mins. rooms clean. concierge friendly and obliging.
On arrival we were given a small pokey room with a double bed pushed up against the wall. felt that for a 4 star hotel the room was that of a 2 star. for what we paid we deserved better as this was not a cheap break. we telephoned reception immediately and were given another room which was of a higher standard.
