Description
The Park Plaza Vondelpark is an elegant Hotel that offers comfort, cleanliness and friendly service. The bright lobby has comfortable seats and a snack corner, where you can sit with a cup of coffee and read the newspaper. In the lobby you will also find Internet access. From 17.00 on you can enjoy yourself in our cosy and homey bar around the warm heard, where we serve drinks and small meals & snacks till 23.00h.
The Park Plaza Vondelpark is ideally situated at the edge of the Vondelpark, where you can stroll for hours but also jog, play tennis, pick nick, drink tea, or visit the Film Museum. Lots of nice, local bars, restaurants, terraces can be found in the surrounding as well as various and typical Dutch/local shops.
Within 15 minutes walking distance you will find the Concert Hall and the Museum Square with the National Museum (Rembrandt), the Van Gogh Museum and the Municipal Museum (modern art).
10 minutes further, walking through the most sophisticated shopping street in Amsterdam: the PC Hooftstraat, where you will find all the most famous fashion labels, is the famous Leidseplein situated, where you will find hundreds of entertainment opportunities.

How to reach the hotel?1) From SCHIPHOL AIRPORT: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the Airport to Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the Central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2)
2) From CENTRAL STATION: You can take tram: 2 from the square in front of the station to the Emmastraat/Koningslaan. From there you can walk to the hotel +/- 2 min. the trams in Amsterdam are running normaly from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM

Very good location (tram stop only 2 minutes walk) friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. 
It appears that their restaurant only serves breakfast, they should have some form of hot & cold dishes available or bar meals offering a smaqll selection of food.Anonymous

The hotel staff was extremely helpful to my husband and i. giving us travel advice many times :) the rooms were neat, kind of tacky yet fun.The only things i didn't like were the lasagna and the smell from the bathroom.Anonymous

In a beautiful area close to good local bars and restaurants. 10 mins walk from the museums and short tram ride from everywhere else. staff were helpful and friendly and the room was very comfortable - good size, clean and nicely furnished. hotel cat was a bonus!Would have preferred a double bed rather than twins pushed together. comfortable nonetheless.Anonymous

The location was great, right next to a tram stop. parking was not as expensive as the hotels in the city center offered.The room didn't look like the picture,had ugly orange carpet but other than that it was modern looking.Adam Jankowski

There was an overbooking and we then were offered a smaller room but this was below expectations. then we were given a larger room very like the one we orginally booked for however the window would not close properley and it was rather noisy as we were at the front of the hotel.

The hotel is very conveniently located to all city sites and to transportation and near the beautiful vondelpark which is similar to central park in nyc. the staff was very helpful in all respects and we extended our stay. it is a moderately priced hotel and you can get a special rate on breakfasts (10 euro ) if you reserve for a few days. rooms are clean,adequate but not large. it is a good hotel for anyone using a wheelchair as they have two elevators and a lower ramp.Agnew

The location near vondel park is beautiful, it's just outside of the busy rembrandt square but the public transport is spot on. i would love to stay here again, thank-you very much for a wonderful time to the staff and amsterdam itself. xxImran

We were upgraded from a standard double to an executive double for no charge, and the hotel was pretty easily accessible from the tramway. the room had been recently renovated and was really nice-looking and well-designed. As other visitors have noted, the bathrooms' being basically see-through and right next to the bed can create some awkward situations. also, there is no separation between the shower and the toilet, which meant lots of water escapin from the shower. we also found the hotel a bit too far to be comfortable walking distance from some of the things we wanted to do, especially at night. Lovely room, and very quiet location right beside the park.Plate was left uncleared in the room for three days even though the room had been otherwise attended to.it's about a ten or fifteen minute tram ride to the city centre. we were left without any towels on our last day and it took over forty minutes for them to be delivered to our room after we had called reception.Anonymous
