Prinsen Hotel is a charming hotel located in a quiet, residential area, but in the centre of Amsterdam. The hotel is a mere stone's throw from the buzzing Leidseplein, Casino, Concert Gebouw (the famous concert hall) and many other theatres.
The hotel consists of 45 rooms and can accomodate up to ninety guests. All the rooms have a color TV, telephone, private safe, hairdryer, Wi-Fi Internet access as well as an en-suite bathroom with a bath/shower and a toilet.

The hotel is located just a stone's throw away from the Vondelpark and Amsterdam's most prestigious shopping street the "PC Hooftstraat".
You can also find the Paulus Potterstraat, with its 3 famous museums (the Van Gogh Museum, Stedelijk Museum and Rijksmuseum) near the hotel's doorstep as well. We are also situated at only 2 minutes walking distance from the Leidseplein and within walking distance from the Museum district, Rembrandt Square and the main attractions of Amsterdam.
How to reach the hotel?2) From Central Station: You can take tram nr 1, 2 or 5 from the square in front of the station to 'Leidseplein'. From there you can walk to the hotel in approximately 5 minutes. The trams in Amsterdam are normally running from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM.

A friendly welcome on arrival and lovely light, clean room overlooking the hotel garden. a peaceful location but only a few minutes walk from the rijksmuseum and van gogh which we particularly wanted to see. a lovely park nearby too for walking and relaxing after sightseeing. the hotel could not have served us better and we had a very positive experience of amsterdam as a result.Nothing it was just perfect!Diane Spalding

Although the hotel was a little far from central station (30 min walking), but it was located in a very quiet area. rooms were clean and specially our room had a door opening to their nice garden. their breakfast was excellent and the staffs were very polite and helpful.This hotel has some pros: 1- they don`t have any fridge and tea making machine in their rooms.2-their rooms are small. 3- their wireless internet is not free. it costs 5 euro per hour.Anonymous

The prinsen hotel was very well located in the city center + the breakfast was delicious.A lot of noise during the night due to young people who was making fun in the corridor...and the stairs are quite narrowed. Anonymous

The location is very good, surrounded by excellent hotels, they did move me to a better but still low quality room after some very loud complaining.Lied to. this is a 1 star hotel calling itself a 3 star, this at best is a crash pad for pot smoking college kids. the room was smaller then imaginable, there was no bath tub (i was looking specifically for that). when i explained that i felt mis led, i was told to go to the marriott but would not be getting a refund. it is my fault for trusting a web site too much, but i feel it was a tremendous waste of money and it is hard to imagine a worse hotel experience, except the neighborhood.Marta Lubiejewska-Pietraszek

The hotel is ideally located in a quiet residential area close to the leidesplein and the cafes/restaurantsThe hotel management held on to a deposit from my credit card even after we had paid our bill. it took many telephone calls, during one of which the manager become quite rude to us, before we were finally re-imbursed. it was such a shame after the warm reception from the staff during our stay.
