Nestled in the historical heart of Amsterdam, the Radisson SAS Hotel is close to the city’s main attractions, its many museums, a choice of theatres and all the major stores. Our beautiful and modern atrium hotel is a wonderful architectural blend of several 18th century merchant houses, a former paper factory and an original vicarage. Our Palmboom restaurant offers frequently changing specialties alongside a wide variety of culinary classics. The hotels’ famous Pastorie Bar offers an international selection of beers, wines and spirits as well as light meals and snacks in a truly unique Old Dutch setting. We offer 242 freshly renovated rooms equipped with all the amenities of a five star hotel. Free Wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel. For a little more space and comfort we offer business-class rooms and we also feature non-smoking rooms. After a fascinating day in Amsterdam you can unwind in our fitness room, relax in the sauna or top up your tan in the solarium. As a result of a change in Dutch legislation, the entire hotel will be non-smoking as from 1 July 2008. Please be aware that as of now we will only have limited smoking rooms.

How can a guest reach the hotel by public transport from the airport?1) From SCHIPHOL AIRPORT: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the Airport to Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the Central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2)
2) From CENTRAL STATION: You can take tram: 24 and 25 from the square in front of the station to the Spui/Rokin. From there you can walk to the hotel +/- 5 min. the trams in Amsterdam are running normaly from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM

A super hotel - fresh and modern but retaining significant elements of original narrow houses which form part of the fabric of the building. our room on the 3rd floor was built in the attic of one such house - with its exposed beams but with all the facsilities you would expect from a hotel of this quality.
location was good - central but quiet, close to the red light district - 2 mins walk to dam square, 20 mins to rijksmuseum, 10-15 to central station. Anonymous
