This comfortable three star hotel is located in ten monumental houses dating back to the 18th century. Hotel Terminus is ideally situated in the historical and exciting heart of Amsterdam, next to the Berlage Trade Exchange.
The hotel is in close proximity to all major sights e.g. Central Station, Dam Square, the canalboats on the Damrak and De Bijenkorf shopping center are all within three minutes of walking. Furthermore there are direct lines to Schiphol International Airport, the RAI and the World Trade Center, to name just a few. All above mentioned features make Hotel Terminus a convenient place to stay, whether you are on a holiday or on a business trip.

From Hotel Terminus the city of Amsterdam can be discovered at ease. The 'Dam', the 'Beurs van Berlage', several shopping streets and the red light district are a few of the attractions nearby. The hotel can be reached easily by public transport, due to the fact that Amsterdam Central Station is about 500 meters away.
When you are at Central Station, you can reach Hotel Terminus within 3 minutes by foot. From Central Station you can walk over the central bridge alongside the canalboats. When you are at the end of the canalboats, you turn left. Now take the first street to the right and you will face Hotel Terminus after 30 metres on Beursstraat 11-19.
How to reach the hotel?1) From SCHIPHOL AIRPORT: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the Airport to Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the Central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:15 AM (go to step 2).
2) From CENTRAL STATION: You dont have take the tram, you can walk to the hotel +/- 5 min. the trams in Amsterdam are running normaly from: 07:00 AM to 00:15 AM.

We booked a triple but that was changed very quickly to a quad room the morning we booked in by friendly/helpful staff.

Decent lobby and location...everything else needs workCheck in was at 3pm...very late. had us waiting around when check out is at 11. 4 hours to clean 1 room? i dont think so.
there was no internet available when the booking certainly states that wifi is included in the room...blatently misinformed, on top of that you infact have to pay inflated rates to use the internet.
room was quite long but with 3 beds, it had one little window. church bells rang every 15 mins 24 hours a day. floor was dirty with used cigarette butts under bed.

The hotel was clean and affordable. i also appreciated that the hotel was located near the train station. What i did not like was that the hotel was located within the green light district. if that was told to me prior to booking, i would have stayed at a different location. also the room was very hot and the a/c could not be set to a comfortable temperature. Good location well presented hotel friendly staffThe room which i stayed in is on the ground floor & backs onto a busy street so it was noisy until 3am
