How can a guest reach the hotel by public transport from the airport?1) From SCHIPHOL AIRPORT: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the Airport to Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the Central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2)
2) From CENTRAL STATION: You can take tram: 1 from the square in front of the station to the Eerste constantijn huygenstraat. From there you can walk to the hotel +/- 2 min. the trams in Amsterdam are running normaly from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM

Apart from the initial shock of being moved without warning to another hotel (see criticism below), everything else was fine for the budget hotel it is - basic room and facilities, but good for the price.
Out single big criticism is that on arrival we were told there was no booking for us, then that this company has a policy of making last minute changes without notice, and we'd been moved to another hotel, the quentin hotel, several minutes walk away. we were most unimpressed. we had a confirmation by email, yet they never let us know of the change, or even that this might be possible after confirmation. minor criticisms of the new hotel: the room (on the top floor, with skylight and se facing window) was rather warm (and the heater was on initially, quite unnecessarily, and difficult to reach in to turn it off), the toilet flushing system was a bit faulty, and we were unble to leave luggage at the hotel on our last day - would have had to take it back to the originally booked quentin england.
