Thorbecke Hotel is well located in the centre of Amsterdam night life. We are close to restaurants, shops, theaters, movie theaters and much more. In the same building on the ground floor there is a bar opened untill 4 a.m.

Apartment was perfect. we had top floor and althogh the stairs tired us out it was well worth it when we got there. plenty of room and a lovely roof terrace.would definately go back.

It was a place to put my head at night, that's all. The lady who greeted us was quite rude, not very helpful, the bed covers were very ripped,the toilet didnt flush with ease,we were told we'd have a minibar? we didnt. John Fleetham

The location of this hotel was good, easy acces to all areas
There is a bar on the ground floor, even with ear plugs you will find it hard to sleep until 4 on friday nights, the general condition of the room was very poor, the fridge in the room still had contents of the last guest,Victor Keane

It's location is the best thing about the hotel. checking in was painless.Booked a for 6 but it was 2 rooms together. not a problem but not as advertised. also it was basically a double bed with 2 campbeds beside it. not very comfortable. it was dirty. there was blood on the matress and there was no soap in either bathroom. luckily there wa toilet paper :) also the nightclub on the ground floor is loud. it'll keep you up till 5am. in fairness we booked this hotel for the location (halfway between rld and leidsplein) and knew what we were getting. price is a little expensive for what you get. recommend only for a bunch of lads on a weekend away ;)Suzanne Sutton
