Description
The pleasant 3-star Tulip Inn Amsterdam Centre hotel has 106 comfortable rooms. The spacious lobby was recently renovated and has a trendy relaxing atmosphere.
This Hotel is conveniently situated in the heart of the city centre. From the Central Station the hotel can be reached in 5 minutes, where fast and frequent connections towards the rest of the city can be found.
The Dam square and numerous museums are within walking range as well. Opposite the hotel you can park at car park 'de Kolk'. Numerous museums, such as the Stedelijk Museum, Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum are very easy to reach as well. The sparkling Leidseplein with its many restaurants and bars can be reached easily by public transport.
The rooms are equipped with a private bathroom (with shower or bath). All of the rooms have a phone, coffee and tea making facilities, safe, desk (and chair), hair dryer and tv. The modern furnishing of the rooms combines comfort with a pleasant atmosphere.
Out of the 106 rooms in the hotel 86 were renovated and upgraded to Deluxe rooms. On top of the regular facilities these rooms offer airconditioning, a flat screen tv and free broadband Internet. The Deluxe rooms are equipped with a spacious bathroom including 'rain shower'. Pets are not allowed in the hotel.

1) From SCHIPHOL AIRPORT: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the Airport to Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the Central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2)
2) From CENTRAL STATION: Several trams stop in front of the hotel. Also the Amsterdam Central Train Station is at a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The trams in Amsterdam are running normaly from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM

The tulip inn amsterdam centre is just a short 5 min walk from the main station. the location of the hotel was away from the noise and buzz of town centre and was no more than 10 to 15 mins to dam square. the rooms and facilities were exceptional with the hotel recently refurbished. the rooms are quite modern and pictures of the rooms on the hotel website are as it is. the bed was really comfortable. Hotel staff on entering hotel were welcomin and frindly. freshly renovated rooms very clean and modern.Feel as though for the cost of the hotel breakfast should have been included. also in our room 309 very small for 3 nights. also our bathroom wall was made of clear glass with no frosting which is very dangerous when they are kept so clean.Anonymous

Excellent loication, very clean and great shower! close enough to be easy walk to wherever we wanted to go but not too noisy. Rooms were quite small although how much more room you could want is debatable. see through bathrooms with frosted galss made sharing with people you were not very familiar with a bit awkward.Anonymous

The hotel was excellent and ideally located. our room was a deluxe room which although slightly small, was probably one of nicest rooms we have ever stayed in. fantastic bathroom!Our only negative comment would be that the doors to the rooms closed very heavily and banged loudly.Parker

Nice hotel in a good area with easy access to everything in the city, tram stops right outside, bike hire oposite and restaurants and bars within 1 min walk.The staff were the only negative, they just seemed a bit unfriendly and stand-offish, not too approachable, but we didn't need to contact them other than check in and check out so that was not a huge issue.Catriona Macdonald

Excellent hotel, a stone throw away from the dam square, beautiful designed room, cosy for singles or couples, free internet access in the deluxe rooms, loads of english channels not just the typical news channels. very friendly helpful staff, clean rooms, clean towels, everything was perfect, i was there for 5 nights and felt like home away from home. i didn't avail of any food in the hotel, but this was my choice nothing to do with the service offeredThe bedroom doors tend to swing shut on their hinges very loudlyJane Drinkwater
