It's popular not just for it's delicious fare, but because of it's unique location which makes it a great place to relax and grab a bite before heading off for an evening of fun or just watching others as they bustle back and forth. Situated right on the busy square right on the edge of the famous red light area the Waag provides a perfect, comfortable vantage point either for dining, drinking or just soaking up the views. The wonderful daytime menu includes tasty selections of Rye Panini's or Bagettes, soups, Veal croquettes, salads and other delicious specialties during with a much more comprehensive menu of specialties becoming available in the romantic main dining area in the evenings. Child and vegetarian dishes are available and the architecture of the building itself is a draw for many photographers. The Waag is recommended as a great place to relax and grab a meal, snack or just to quaff a few drinks with friends and acquaintances - whether or not you plan a trip to the Red Light District.
