Jardín Botánico Carlos Thays/Botanical Gardens Buenos Aires

The Botanical Gardens in Buenos Aires is a hidden treasure nestled between the busy streets and towering buildings. Locally called the Jardin Botanico Carlos Thays, this garden of 18 acres provides visitors a chance to experience the flora and fauna from around the world. One of the prides of the Botanical Gardens is the “Tree of Gold” from China which is, supposedly, the last one of its kind. Along with it are well over 5,000 species of exotic plants and flowers. The Botanical Gardens is divided into different sections each of which simulates different areas around the world including Africa, and Europe. Visitors love the chance to stroll along the shaded paths, discover hidden statues, and rest on the benches of the Botanical Gardens.
