Museo Historico Nacional Buenos Aires

Traveling to a new country is always a unique experience. This experience can be far more rewarding if something of the nation’s history is known. Argentina has a very rich history from the ingenious people to the conquistadors and into the last few centuries. The Museo Historico Nacional, The National Historical Museum, is located in the capital of Argentina, Buenos Aires, and explores the history of the nation. The Museum began in 1889 and was established in a summer home of an Italian family. The surrounding area of the museum still reflects the scenery that made this area perfect for such a get away. Lush green fields and majestic trees provide a backdrop for the museum. Inside, the three galleries display artifacts of conquerors and famous revolutionaries from Argentina’s past. Items from the War of Independence, flags, and swords along with uniforms and medals are of particular interest.
