The Museo Historico Nacional, The National Historical Museum, is located in the capital of Argentina, Buenos Aires, and explores the history of the nation. The Museum began in 1889 and was established in a summer home of an Italian family. The surrounding area of the museum still reflects the scenery that made this area perfect for such a get away. Lush green fields and majestic trees provide a backdrop for the museum. Inside, the three galleries display artifacts of conquerors and famous revolutionaries from Argentina’s past. Items from the War of Independence, flags, and swords along with uniforms and medals are of particular interest.
