The Luna Park located in Sydney is not as old as its cousin in Melbourne. The Sydney location is only 70 years old; its gates opened in 1935. Since that time Luna Park has seen it's up and downs much like the several roller coasters it houses and today, this amusement park is the premier park in all of Sydney. Luna Park is an important part of Sydney's history even though it has faced destruction more than once. Lucky, the park popularity has sky rocketed and is much loved by nostalgic parents and their children.
Luna Park has fourteen rides among them is the Wild Mouse Roller Coaster and the Skylab Ferris Wheel. During peak season additional rides are provided by traveling carnivals and fairs. Along with the rides there are also several attractions including the Big Top which is a multi purpose venue and the Coney Island Funny Land which is the only still operating funhouse from the 1930's.
