Pros: We agree with all positive reviews thus far and am glad there were no ugly surprises. hotel and all amenities were wonderfully clean and quiet. staff were very helpful and prompt. breakfast was great :) paperwork was no fuss. we really liked how everything was clean and neat and stress-free, plus the layout of the hotel is cosy and quaint in a very appealing manner. for this price, this hotel is amazing value for money. we could make coffee and store our dinner leftovers in the fridge - very helpful. wonderfully clean and thick bedding - complete with reasonably thick pillows and cushions for comfort. would recommend this to all types of travellers, not just young singles.
Cons: Hot water for the shower was intermittent. parking is a major problem along the streets at glenferrie.
Pros: The breakfast was an outstanding value. judy at the front desk has been the most helpful hotel employee of my stay in australia. however, non-native employees were not as helpful. for example, one had never heard of ayers rock.
