Marengo is located just off the Great Ocean Road. One of Australia’s most scenic drives, the Great Ocean Road has something for everyone. The road follows the coastline with great views, beaches, forests, and more. At the end of the Great Ocean Road, in Marengo, is the 12 Apostles. This natural wonder is best seen when the sun sets and the colors of the sun reflect off huge stones rising from the ocean floor. Plaques along the trail document where ships have wrecked and give a summary of the ship’s history. The shipwreck at Loch Ard Gorge occurred in 1878.
