There is a beautiful park engulfing much of Baden bei Wien. Among its offerings are white beeches, carefully trimmed trees, white benches and elaborate flowerbeds. You can sit quietly and watch people stroll by or join them in wandering along the many hiking trails nearby. This quiet place of solitude slanting upwards is Kurpark.

Kurpark graciously provides visitors with the chance of many things. Besides quiet and relaxation or mild exercise, you can take in its sculptural and architectural offerings. As you walk about, you will see, here and there statues gracing the grace and walking paths. Here you can see one of Johann Strauss, over there is one of Joseph Lenner. If you can, climb upwards to visit the Beethoven Tempel. This is a Neo-Classical rotunda. If you have the time, wander inside to look at the somewhat underlit frescos. They date from the 1920s. Stop and admire the view of the city from here.
