In the mountains of the Tirol region, you can find the small community of Längenfeld. Many people arrive here to sk. Some stay at or take advantage of the Wellness spa - the Aqua Dome Spa Center. Yet, you could visit a few cultural highlights in town before hitting the slopes. On of the places worth visiting is the parish church. This is dedicated to St. Catherine.

Pfarrkirche zur hl. Katharin a (St. Catherine’s) is originally Gothic. It dates from the 14th century. First mention of it is in a document from 1303. The architectural characteristics of the Gothic style still remains. You can see them in the tower. It stands 74 meters (243’) tall. The steeple of St. Catherine is, in fact, the highest in the valley of the Ötztal Mountains. You can also traces of the church’s Gothic inheritance in the decorative west portal. The interior, however, is pure Baroque. This stems from its remodeling and extension during the late 17th century.
