In Wilten, a suburb of Innsbruck, you can visit a Pilgrimage church. This is the Wilten Parish and Pilgrimage church of Our Lady under the Four Columns or Wilten Basilica.

Wilten Basilica is not a medieval structure. It only dates from the 18th century. The architect was Franz de Paula Penz. It is esteemed as the finest Rococo or Baroque church in the region of Tyrol. The stucco interior is by Franz Xaver Feicktmayr. These ceiling frescos reveal Mary interceding for Mankind, Esther interceding with the Persian King for the Jews and Judith as the Jewish Patriot Vanquishing the Assyrian General. Above the high altar with its pink, gold and yellow color scheme is the altarpiece of Mary Magdalen from the 14th century. There is also a 14th century Madonna of sandstone with an addition of a neo-Baroque aureole.
